Style Me Friday: Plaid

Happy Friday!  I'm happy to announce my little baby niece yesterday evening!  My niece, Curvie Birdie and her baby girl are doing great!  By the time I got back to the hospital they had baby in the nursery so I will be heading up there shortly so I can hold her, kiss her and love her!  I may have a new muse for Baby Shopaholic... we shall see! 

This weeks inspiration is Plaid!  I'm so loving the trend and there are so many ways to wear it.  I took a casual approach with my plaid.  I have a feeling this is going to be my fall uniform.

Happy Friday!  Is it me or are the weeks just flying by!  Seriously, Halloween is less than two weeks away!  Then it will be November... Thanksgiving and Christmas!  Yikes! I just freaked myself out!  Anywho,  Style Me Friday is back on with Fashionista Next Door.  This weeks look features a leopard coat.  You know we heart leopard around these parts! 

Style Me Friday: Boyfriend Jeans 4 Ways

I survived another week!  Things are so crazy in real life you wouldn't believe!  I'm still tying up the loose ends from my mother's move back to Chicago, my niece who is preggers went to the hospital and was put on bed-rest for a week (she is doing good now) and I hosted two events this week.  It's just Friday!   Next week is going to be another circus!  Hopefully we can skip the hospital visits.

With all that being said, I did my best to do a Style Me Friday look since it has been in hiatus for a few weeks.  Since the inspiration look was Boyfriend jeans I figured I could pull this off because I wear mine all the time.  Pics are not the best but I tried : ).

Happy Friday Ladies!  Eboni from the Fashionista Next Door is on vacation this week so I am hosting Style Me Friday today!  This week look features a vest.  If you don't know by now, vests are amazing! They are the perfect transition piece for fall.

Happy Friday!  This weeks Style Me Friday look features a button down.  I'm a huge fan of a button down (besides ironing them).  They make you look as though you attempted to get dressed.  I have been rocking them all summer.  I took a super casual approach with my look this week and included a snapback!

Happy Friday! This Saturday I will be partying like it's 1999 with my BFF before she and her family relocate.  We have an action packed girls night planned.  I wonder how long we will last?  Anyway, this weeks Style Me Friday look features Lace!  Lace is so hot right now!  You can catch me wearing lace HERE and HERE. 

Style Me Friday: Leopard

Happy Friday! Last weekend before Peyton starts pre-school!  In addition to hosting an event tomorrow, I need to get her a few things so she can be ready for school.  She doesn't want to leave her teachers from last year so this may be a challenge.  Hopefully a new pair of shoes will be the cure.

This weeks Style Me Friday look features something Leopard!  I heart Leopard.  Like Eboni said, Leopard is the new neutral!

The Return of Style Me Friday: Denim Cutoffs

Style Me Friday with Fashionista Next Door is back!  Did you miss it?  I did!  With all that I had going on, I welcomed the mini vacay!  This weeks look features cut off denim shorts.  Because I'm so behind in life, I'm kind of cheating this week.  Remember my guest post on 5 Ways to Wear Denim Shorts?....Well...This is one of them that got the most love.  I will also add the other looks in case you missed it.

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July!  My week has been super crazy!  I'm currently blogging from Chicago.  My first cousin George passed away last week and I had to come to Chicago for the funeral : (.  I will back in Atlanta in time for Peyton's Birthday party.  Y'all know last minute plane tickets are crazy expensive so I did not bring Peyton with me.  I miss her so much but she is having fun with Daddy! Sorry to be a Debbi Downer on a Friday.  Before leaving for the airport I did squeeze in a few pictures for this weeks Style Me Friday with Fashionista Next Door.  This weeks look features a maxi dress.

Happy Friday!  This is the last Friday in June! OMG!  Peyton's birthday is next Sunday and I'm knee deep in DIYs for her party!  I'm so happy this weeks Style Me Friday look was simple,  agray tee.  I have a ton of those!  I love gray!

Style Me Friday is back!  The inspiration look is peplum.  I'm not the biggest peplum fan.  I only have one current peplum top and one dress.  I found this old top I still had from back in my dress up for work days that I got from Arden B.

Style Me Friday: Black + White

Happy Friday!  Rough week! My mother got sick again and was in the hospital a few days.  She is out now and doing better.  Right now she requires a lot of care so I have been trying to joggle taking care of her, Peyton, work and my household!  Thank God for Mister and my niece for stepping up and helping out!  Since my mom is home now and feeling better, I was able to sneak in this week Style Me Friday with the Fashionista Next Door.  This weeks inspiration is the Black and White trend.  Since I am rocking the natural, I used my girl Solange as my inspiration look.  

Style Me Friday: Crop Top...Yes! a Crop Top!

Happy Friday!  I'm ready for a do-over for last weekend!  This weeks Style Me Friday inspiration look features a crop top!  Maaaan!  I almost broke up with Style Me Friday when I saw Eboni picked this trend!  I'm a mid thirties mama!  What do I look like wearing my stomach out?  I sat back... and took a deep breath.  I do like the trend, especially with high waist items.  I figure I would give it a try.  Now the problem was that I don't have crop tops lying around the house?  I haven't worn any top that show my stomach since 1997!  Don't laugh...

Style Me Friday: Canadian Tuxedo, Denim on Denim

I am so ready for this long weekend!  No big plans this weekend.  I have a graduation to attend and will spend the rest of the time stuffing my face!  

This weeks Style Me Friday is Double Denim but I like to call it the "Canadian Tuxedo".  Canadian Tuxedo means wearing Denim on Denim.  I'm a fan of this trend! I love wearing jeans and denim jackets!  Putting my picture next to these skinny girls is starting to mess with my self confidence!  LOL! JK! But really, I'm about to go work out!

Style Me Friday: Shorts + Blazers

Do y'all watch Scandal?  That has got to be the best show EVA!  The season finale had me sitting in the fetal position for two hours after it went off!  I don't know how I am going to make it until the next season begins!

Let me get back to real life!  This weeks Style Me Friday inspiration look is pairing shorts with a blazer!  One of my faves!  I have worn shorts suits for years!  The look is always so chic!

Style Me Friday: Slacks + Trousers

Happy Friday! So ready to start the weekend!  I am going to keep this short today.  This weeks Style Me Friday look is wear trouser or slacks.  Not a big fan of this look but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.  Most of my pants have skinny legs so I dug deep to find some wide leg slacks.  I haven't had to dress up for work in about 7 yrs so I don't own a lot of "slacks".  I went real corporate looking on y'all with my look this week.

This weeks Style Me Friday inspiration is the White Tee!  If you don't have a fresh white tee you better go out and get you one!  This is not really a new trend for me.  I always try to keep white (or black) tees on deck.  I love wearing a tee with a fun skirt or under a blazer.

Happy Friday!  This week has been bananas!  Looks like a MAC truck ran over my face today!  Thank you for all the well wishes for my mom!  She is doing great!
