Spring Bali Collection from Tea Video Feat. Peyton!

Peyton and I are uber excited to feature clothing from the Bali inspired Summer/Spring Tea Collection!  Check out Peyton working it in this video I put together.

Please excuse the wet spot on Peyton's shirt.  I had to bribe her with fruit snacks.

Saying that we love this Bali Collection from Tea would be an understatement!  As you can see the detail, quality and design is top notch!   You can see the inspiration of Bali in the designs.  The sizing of the clothes gives your child room to grow.  Peyton has a few Tea dresses from last year that she should be able to wear this spring with some leggings.

Here are links to the clothing featured in the video:
Dancing Fern dress (orange)
Ubud Ikat Dress
Adat Batik Sarong Short
So Soft Skinny Leggings
Radiant Rice Tee

What do you think of the collection?  Would you like to see more videos like this?   Make sure you head over to Tea and sign up for email notifications for special offers and check out the cute Tea blog!

Disclosure: I was given items from Tea for review.  Opinions are my own.

Mama's Cat Eye Sunglasses - Vlogging!

I am trying to do more videos.  I recently purchased a used flip cam from Ebay... Too bad it dies every time I go to use it.  So I did this really quick on my phone.

Anyway, I have been obsessed with the Cat Eye Sunglasses every since I saw NeNe wearing them on RHOA.  She has the Tom Ford Nikita shades.  They retail for $360.  Check out what I got!

I purchased these from Retro City Sunglasses.  Thanks to Veronique, owner of Brooke's Closet for putting me on!  She saw my tweets stalking NeNe's shades and told me where to go.

What do you think?

Who Shut it Down at the Oscars?

I finally saw The Help last week and I LOVE that movie so I was so excited to check in and out of the Oscars to root for Viola and Octavia!  But of course the fashion was up there too.  Here are my top picks of the night.
Viola Davis in Vera Wang
This color looks amazing on Viola.  Love that she rocked the au natural to the Oscars!

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi
This dress is just lovely.  It would look awesome on anyone who puts it on.

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli
Emma looks very Nicole Kidman circa 2007 but I still like it!

J Lo in Zuhair Murad
In J Lo fashion she is letting us know she still got it!

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
My girl Gwyn never dissapoints!  The dress is simple but that cape....  She smashed it!

Stacey Keibler
George Clooney's Boo shut it down in this beautiful Marchesa.

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa was a total fail for me.  What do you think?

Who was your fave lady?  Did you like Sandra's dress?

Toms for Baby and Moms

I was not a fan of Toms when they first came out.  But after hearing that for every shoe purchased that a child in need will be given a pair.  Shopping and supporting a cause!  Win Win!  I was thinking of getting Peyton some for the Spring / Summer.

I am getting sucked in to the madness of Toms.  Since I can't wear Ugg boots in the summer I need a something cute and low key besides my Tory ballet flats.

What color do you think I should get for Peyton?  Should I get a pair too?  Maybe we should get matching sparkly ones : ) Do you own a pair Toms?

One List Life with P&G

Attention Publix Shoppers! From February 23–29 you can participate in P&G’s “One List Life” promotion, available exclusively at Publix: simply select any four fabulous participating P&G items and pick up a FREE Rotisserie Chicken while you’re at it! Learn more at http://www.savingspg.com/.

I don't cook much!  I have a few staples that I make. I am not a bad cook, I just have no desire to try and make anything new.  I would rather clean the bathroom!  But I don't mind shopping!  So my shopping trips consist of getting food for Peyton and restocking the essentials.  Here are my tips that simplify my life and make shopping a breeze.
  • Don't go shopping hungry!  Everything will look delish if you do!
  • Check your fridge and make a list.
  • Grab the sales paper when you head in the door. You may see something on sale that you want to try.
  • Buy generic to save money
  • Buy full size items and use baggies to portion them out.  Baggies are you best friend! Pre-portioned items can cost double.
  • Try to get everything in one place.  With these high gas prices, I am not driving some where else to save 50 cents.
I hope my tips can help make your life easier!  What are some of your shopping tips?

Make sure you check out the One List Life promotion from P&G at Publix.  Get a FREE rotisserie chicken when you 4 of the participating P&G products that are also on sale.  Promotion runs from 2/23 to 2/29.

Thank you to P&G for sponsoring my participation in this “One List Life” promotion. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Do The....Potty Dance!

Peyton and I hosted a Huggies Pull-Up Potty Dance Party this past Saturday.   Peyton is a year and a half so it's time to start thinking about going to the potty!  My baby is growing up too fast but she needs to get started.  I figured what better way then to have a Potty Dance Party!  The party was with House Party and sponsored by Pull-Ups and Target.

For the party, Peyton wore a Gap butterfly top, with Joe's jeans, and red mary janes from Target.

One little boy was ready to go to the potty right in the family room.

Devon looks excited to potty!
Mimi from Lipgloss and Binky getting her party on to the Potty Dance!

As you can see, everyone had a good time!  Each kid was given a potty training kit that included, a "Big Kid in Training" bathroom door hanger, stickers, DVD, progress chart, guitar and a ton of coupons!

Here is what us moms learned from Pull-Ups and each other:
  • Look for signs your child is ready.  Like staying dry for long periods of time, wants diapers changed asap, shows interest in using the potty.
  • Once you switch over to Pull Ups you need to stick with it.  Going back to diapers confuses the child.
  • Use potty training books and songs to keep the momentum going.
  • Dress you child in easy clothing
  • Use rewards when they potty
Pull-Ups has a variety different options to help you child to be successful.  They have Pull Ups that change design when wet.  Pull Ups with cool alert and your child can feel when they are wet.  They also offer Pull Up night times so you don't have to stop training at night.

I was originally going to post the video of the kids dancing but my camera was keeping me from being great.  So I leave you with the Potty Dance video that we watch over 50 times on Saturday.

Do you have any potty training tips?  Please share!
