Balenciaga introduces it's second scent from their enchanted garden, Rosabotanica.  Every four or five years a fragrance comes along and that makes you throw your hands up and say "Yaaas!"  The Balenciaga Rosabotanica is it for me!  Please excuse Peyton's photo bombing doll, she really wanted her in the pictures.

At Home Manicure in 9 Steps

I had an unfortunate gel manicure last month (pictured below).  I was against getting gel nails because they didn't last in the past, but I needed something that would last a few weeks.  I should have stuck with my gut and skipped the gel mani!  My nails looked horrendous day 5!  So I decided to get back to taking care of my own nails at home.

While I was at BlogHer I was excited to see the Kiss Cosmetics booth!  I have been a fan of Kiss products for several years.  Kiss I-Envy Mascara is the only one I will use.  Under the Kiss brand they have full line of makeup, Broadway Nails, and imPress.  I was so happy that they gave of samples of the Nail Dress and imPress nails.

Manicures & Martinis

While in Chicago I tried to spend time with my all my girls.  What better way to have a Ladies Night then to go to the Beauty Bar Chicago!  This place is incredible!  You can have drinks, dance and get your nails done!

I wore a Betsy Johnson Vintage Collection top.  I got this top before I was even pregnant with Peyton and this was my first time wearing it.  Elie Tahari jeans.  Shoes Christian Louboutin.  Earrings from Pretty Girl Glam.  Did you hear that Betsy Johnson is closing it's doors!  According to MSN all the stores will be having sales to get rid of merchandise!

Getting my nails done while sipping on a martini!

Windy City Mama showed up to hang out with me!  Isn't she a sexy mama!  We had a good time sipping drinks!  Did you peep the hair dryer chairs in the background?

My longtime girlfriend Aiesha came out to party with me.

She showed up with this bag!  I told her if she is carrying that bag, all drinks are on her!  LOL!  Thanks for the drinks Aiesha!  Let me know when I can rent your Hermes!

Pre-Spring Nail Colors

It's not even February and Spring is everywhere!  I am trying to fight it but I am losing!  I was checking out Birch Box and saw that some people had a bottle of the new Zoya Feel Collection.  I love a great neutral color!  I went ahead and purchased the these two bottles. 

Zoya Feel Collection Carey (L) and Kendal (R).  They look close to the same color but one is grayish and the other pale lilac.  You know us ladies can notice if a polish is a shade different!

I just got my nails done so Peyton had to try out the colors.  My baby needs a mani!

I think the Carey color is going to be my fav!  What do you think of these colors?  Nail polish is so addictive!  It's almost like getting a new outfit!

Fall Nails

While in the mall, I happen to notice that the Trade Secret was closing (that location only, not the company).  I always find great deals on clearance OPI and Essie polish, so I ran in. 



I scored 2 bottles of OPI, Here Today Argone Tomorrow and Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees.  Two bottles of Essie Mademoiselle (classic!) and Honey Bun.  I also got the Seche Vite Top coat.  I got all this for $15!!!  The top coat alone is normally $10. Whomp!

Then Sunday I headed to Walgreens to see what I could find for Peyton's cough and saw they had Sinful for $1.  I got 5 bottles!

I love the ombre nail look that I was seeing all summer on the blogs.  I wanted to try it for the fall.  Lauren Conrad, one of my FAV fashionistas was rocking the look all summer.

What better way to try this look with $1 bottle of nail polish???  You would go broke trying to do this with OPI!

I used the dark green OPI, "Here Today Argone Tomorrow" on my thumb aka my "green thumb"

This is what the color looked like after 2 coats.  I was pretty dissapointed that it didn't go on well.

Here is the finished product.  Two coats on each nail except the thumb.  Tip:  Use the same color on thumb and index figure so you only need 4 colors.  $4 Do it yourself nails!

Try this when your in b/w mani's.  What do you think?  Would you do it?

Lipgloss & Binky: I Heart....

Sharing with us today is the Fab Super Mom Mimi from Lipgloss and Binky!

I am Mimi from Lipgloss and Binky and at any given time I am likely to love so many things that I can't make sense of them all so I am sharing with you the top 5 things that I am smitten with at THIS moment!!

1.) NAIL POLISH: Not sure when or why I became a nail polish addict, but I think I need help. EVERY time I go in the store I must come out with at least one bottle. I'm not even snobbish about it the $1 bottle is just as good as the $8. My current collection is at 74 bottles and growing. As if the polish wasn't enough I am thinking about investing in a nail stamp.
 



2.) H&M's Dressing Room: No, not the actual dressing room but this uber fab app on their website that lets you choose your own model and virtually style your outfits ahead of time. If you've ever been in an H&M you understand why this is a helpful tool to help you stay focused and not go bananas. Here is an outfit I put together. Go to their website and play with it.

3.) Flashmobs: Don't shake your head! After the dude on the AT&T commercial. I have become obsessed with doing a flashmob. Fret not, I found one and its going down on July 30. Now I just gotta figure out how to Dougie..everybody love, every, everybody love me!

4.) Running: I have recently been plagued with high blood pressure and cholesterol. In an effort to keep theses nuances at bay I have taken up running. Something special about pushing your body to limits and it not deserting you and leaving you flat on your face. Recently ran a 10K.. a mere 6.2 miles Nonetheless, I am currently training for a half marathon 13.1 miles in November. I've even upped my running gear..check out my latest purchase

5.) Nexxus Pro Mend Treatment: I have yet to try this product because every time I go to the store its sold out. Seeing that it claims to fix 92% of your split ends, what's not to love. Hopefully I can get my hands on some of it soon. I'll definitely rant and/or rave about it on my blog.

I swear, if you knew me well, you would be completely shocked by this because I am *NOT* a salad person. 

But...this salad is absolutely scrumptious! The greek dressing, feta cheese, and kalamata olives are just an *insanely* good combo that has me obsessing over these greens...especially now that it's getting hotter!

These little mini bags have got me drooling *big time* lately...which is dangerous because if I don't have a big ol' purse, I'm positive I am going to leave it somewhere! And can you imagine if you lost one of these???

 

Fun Nail Polish

Maybe this has to do with all the "toe bearing" shoes that summer brings, but I have been entertaining myself (and my two year-old) with fun nail polish colors/designs...

Okay probably not *quite* as crazy as some of those...

Mamanista Nails and Giveaway!

Ok, do you remember my guest post over at my girls blog  Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers about my obsessions?  Well one of them was the Sally Hansen Nail Effects. 

Since I was going out this past weekend I wanted to do it!  First I would like to say that I follow this great blog Nouveau Cheap that reviews drug store beauty products.  Well she posted about Broadway Nails and there nail stickers that are just like the Sally Hansen's but half the price!  So I hit up Walgreen's and got some.

Putting them on was super easy! No dry time!  But I do suggest putting on a top coat, it will make them last longer.

Fabulous!!!!   Glad this picture is blurry so you can't see my dried up cracked cuticles!  But these nails take the attention away from them! I have been washing baby, bottles and changing diapers with these nails and they are still standing!

So I know some folks are scared to try them so I will be giving some away!  There will be TWO winners of these...
