Mamanista Fridays Link-Up: Fall Hats

Happy Mamanista Friday!  Temps are crazy low across the country this week.  Now we can pull out those cute coats from last year!  I totally forgot about most of my fall and winter coats from last year.  It was like shopping in my own closet.  In addition to wearing fly coats this season, I love wearing hats.  I'm a hat girl.  I grew up in a COGIC church where the ladies wore hats every Sunday.  I've been told I wear hats like a First Lady. LOL!

Mama Holiday Party Look

Happy New Years Eve!  Who is ready to get their celebration on?  We plan on bringing in the New Year at church tonight.  Something I have always done.  I think I may have went out to party two or three times for NYE.  Just because I'm not going out tonight doesn't mean I haven't been getting my celebration on.  Before Christmas, I headed out to celebrate the holidays with some girl friends.  Instead of just putting on a dress I decided to put on my new "polar bear" coat and a sequin skirt.

My Comfy Thanksgiving Outfit

Since Thanksgiving is all about eating (and giving thanks), I like to wear something with a lot of room and that stretches.  Lawd knows I wanted to wear leggings and a t-shirt but since we had dinner at my Aunt-in-law's home, I figured I should wear some real clothes.

Style Me Friday: Plaid

Happy Friday!  I'm happy to announce my little baby niece yesterday evening!  My niece, Curvie Birdie and her baby girl are doing great!  By the time I got back to the hospital they had baby in the nursery so I will be heading up there shortly so I can hold her, kiss her and love her!  I may have a new muse for Baby Shopaholic... we shall see! 

This weeks inspiration is Plaid!  I'm so loving the trend and there are so many ways to wear it.  I took a casual approach with my plaid.  I have a feeling this is going to be my fall uniform.

Jeffrey Hosts Fall Fashion Preview

Monday evening I had the honor of attending an exclusive fall fashion preview event at Jeffrey Atlanta in Phipps Plaza.  During the event, guest got a sneak peek at runway looks from the upcoming Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2013, to be held on Monday, August 26th. Jeffrey Fashion Cares annual fundraiser is the pinnacle fashion event in Atlanta.  This annual fashion event benefits the Atlanta Aids fund and Susan G. Komen for the Cure - Greater Atlanta Affiliate. Jeffrey Fashion Cares (Atlanta and New York) has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country having raised over $11 million.  

Style Me Friday: Gray Tee

Happy Friday!  This is the last Friday in June! OMG!  Peyton's birthday is next Sunday and I'm knee deep in DIYs for her party!  I'm so happy this weeks Style Me Friday look was simple,  agray tee.  I have a ton of those!  I love gray!

Style Me Friday is back!  The inspiration look is peplum.  I'm not the biggest peplum fan.  I only have one current peplum top and one dress.  I found this old top I still had from back in my dress up for work days that I got from Arden B.  

Closet Must Have: Denim Jacket

One thing that you must have in your closet that will never go out of style is a denim jacket!  I don't know where I would be in life if I didn't have a denim jacket.  You can wear it with everything, all year long.  Thanks to the Southern Blog Society, I got to step my denim jacket game up with a gifted Paige Denim jacket!  All of us Southern Blog Society ladies decided to link up today to show how we rock our Paige Denim Jackets!

Style Me Friday: Monochromatic

Happy Friday! This week flew by!  We don't have any big plans this weekend, Thank God! That is great because I'm super busy next week with fun bloggy stuff!

Today's Style Me Friday look from Fashionista Next Door is monochromatic!  I have become a big fan of monochromatic outfits because they make you look slimmer!  I'm all for anything that makes me look smaller, especially since I have gained 10lbs!  Yes I did! Can you see it in my face waist and thighs?  I have been trying my best to hide it : ).  Now I can't fit my clothes. I started watching what I eat this week.  I hope to get a work out to two in this weekend!  Wish me luck!

Style Me Friday: White Jeans

Happy Friday Ladies!  Weather is crazy in the A!  We had a few nice weekends now it's going to on the cold side this weekend.  My girl Eboni from Fashionista Next Door is back in her groove with Style Me Friday!  This weeks inspiration look is based around white jeans!  The fashion rule is no white until after Memorial Day!  I tend to follow the fashion rules but there are some exceptions!  I'm cool with rocking white jeans for Spring whether it's March or May and winter whites.  But please no white linen pants!

Money Ain't a Thang! Gucci Kids Spring

Happy Friday!  I hope Spring is here to stay!  It is supposed to be in the low 70's this weekend in Atlanta!  Bring it on!  You know my love goes deep for Gucci!  I hope that one day Peyton can own a few pieces (besides my bags) from Gucci!  If "Money Ain't a Thang", Peyton would have a some of these Gucci pieces for Spring!

Bright Coat: Style Me Friday

Happy Friday!  Time for Style Me Friday with the Fashionista Next Door!  This weeks look is pretty simple... a bright coat.  Even thought it is simple I don't own any big bright coats so I opted to rock a blazer.

Happy Style Me Friday!  I am hosting Style Me Friday while Eboni is away.  This weeks inspiration is a comfy casual look from Atlantic-Pacific.  At first glance I thought this look would be easy but I had a challenge with the coat!  I could have sworn I had a coat similar to the inspiration look but I realized I swapped it with Eboni at the fall blogger closet sell!  She is lucky she is out of town because I would have been on a mission to get it back!  After pulling out coats with fur collars and looking like Magic Don Juan or Huggy Bear.  I finally found something.

Girls Night at Bebe Stores with The Fashionista Next Door

Last Thursday night, one of my bloggy besties, Eboni from Fashionista Next Door, hosted a fabulous event at Bebe sponsored by Lucky Magazine!  Even though traffic was CRAY in ATL on Thursday, I knew the night was going to be awesome when I was invited by Eboni to join her in a limo to the event!  That's how we roll! LOL! Not really! But that was fun!
