Skinny + Spiked Hot Chocolate #sweetnlowstars

I made my Sweet’N Low Spiked and Skinny Hot Chocolate as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Temperatures have dropped to the low 30's in Georgia!  Hotlanta is now Coldlanta!  I broke out my fuzzy socks, hoodies and fleece pants.  All I need now is a warm drink.  Everyone and their mama is excited about these pumpkin drinks that come out in the fall.  I don't get what all the fuss is about, I don't care for them.  Plus, they are packed with unnecessary sugar and calories.  I created my own tummy warming drink with a twist using Sweet’N Low.

Diet Diaries: 7 Day Low Carb Challenge

I know it's been a while since I've posted about my diet diaries but this is an EMERGENCY update.  I'm happy to report that I'm still working out at least 3 days a week.  My eating has been so-so.  I do good on Monday and Tuesday and crash and burn the rest of the week.  I was talking with a friend at work on Friday and we decided we would eat right for 7 days straight with no cheating.  We are going to ditch the bread, starch, sugar, candy, even wine!  I don't know if I'm going to submit to the wine part just yet.  That will be a long 7 days!  I posted on Instagram that I was doing this and a lot of you were down for the challenge as well so I knew I had to post something ASAP!

Low-Cal Oreo Milkshake #SweetNLowStars

I made my Sweet’N Low milkshake as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

I know summer is just about over (Yay fall!), but I love my milkshakes all year long. I’m not a big plain ice cream in a bowl eater but hand me a milkshake and watch me go HAM! Milkshakes at restaurants don’t have my best interests or waistline at heart. I was challenged with the task of making my own low-cal milkshake that will satisfy cravings and save my closet at the same time. Using Sweet’N Low, I created the guilt free Oreo milkshake!

Skinny Sangria #SweetNLowStars

This week I made my Sweet’N Low Skinny Sangria as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars.

The kids are heading back to school. Time to celebrate with a new drink recipe! I won't judge you if you make this drink after putting your kids on the bus. Better yet, invite the other moms in the neighborhood to join you in celebratory back to school toast with this guilt free Skinny Sangria!

The Diet Diaries: Prepare or Prepare to Fail

I figured out the secret to weight loss success!  The secret is to PREPARE!  It’s that simple.  Well, preparing is not that simple but if you do it you will lose weight.  I never realized how important being prepared is when you are trying to lose weight.  It makes all the difference.

Low-Cal Strawberry Amaretto Freeze #SweetNLowStars

This week I made my Sweet’N Low Strawberry Amaretto Freeze as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars.

I may be on journey to loose a few several pounds but I won’t be giving up my “mommy” drinks for nobody.  I conveniently forget that the most delicious cocktails are packed with sugar.  My so-called solution is drink water all day and save my calories for cocktails.  That sounded like a plan but I was still consuming way too much sugar.  I knew there was a better way.  I created my first guilt-free, low carb drink using Sweet’NLow.

The Diet Diaries

A diet can mean two things. The kind of food a person eats or a special course of food to which one restricts oneself, either to lose weight or for medical reasons.  I need to change my "diet" in order to loose weight and to prevent life threatening diseases.  I figured I would start health and fitness conversation on the blog.  I'm not going to tell you how to lose weight,  what to eat and what workouts to do.  I plan to share what I'm doing to reach my goals and my ups and downs getting there.  I think putting it out there will hold me accountable and maybe help someone else.

Beach Ready Without Working Out #TENways

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TENways  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I think it’s safe to say that spring has arrived.  I’m about to head to the beach and I’m not ready!  I need at least 30 days to get my life together, eat better and work out.  I was doing well with my weight loss plan earlier this year.  I lost weight but the snow storms came, stores were closed and I ate whatever I could get my hands on.
Don't laugh at my big bathing suit bottom.

Peyton’s Favorite Snacks: The Good Bad & Ugly

I’m amazed by how picky and opinionated kids can be about what they eat.   When I introduce a new healthy snack, I feel like I’m walking into my boss’s office to ask for a raise.  Not really, but almost.  It’s either yay or nay with this little one.  Mostly nay.   When I was a kid, I was happy to get any snack offered to me.

Weight Loss Chronicles: Egg White Muffins

I posted my egg white muffins on Instagram last week and you guys requested more details so here you go.  A friend of mine turned me onto “egg” muffins a long time ago.  Egg white muffins are the most delicious, low-fat on the go breakfast.  My Weight Watchers Simple Start sponsored campaign is over but I'm still using Weight Watchers and I thought I would still share some of the foods that I have been eating.  No, I'm not trying to be a food blogger.  Y'all know I don't like to cook.

Weight Watchers Success with #SimpleStart

My two weeks on the Simple Start program on Weight Watchers has come to an end.  As I've said in my previous posts, Simple Start is the easiest program to get you on the right track for healthy eating and weight loss.  If you are anything like me, someone who eats everything bad like it was their full-time job; Simple Start is a perfect way to get started.  No counting and no measuring (Ain’t nobody got time for that).

Healthy Living with Simply Balanced

Listening to the news and watching the Doctor shows, you don’t know what is safe to eat any more.  I want to make sure Peyton is on the right track to healthy living but who can keep up.  I also need for the foods that we eat to be simple to prepare.  Target has just made eating healthier very simple! Target recently introduced Simply Balanced, a wellness grocery brand.

Check-In & What I'm Eating on #SimpleStart

I’m almost two weeks in on the Simple Start program with Weight Watchers.  I’m happy to announce that I have already starting losing weight! *does the Running Man*.  This plan has been so easy to get to help me get on track.  The Simple Start app has some great meal ideas that I already love to eat.  With just a little tweaking, I haven’t missed out on much.  While I haven’t been a complete angel on the program (I’ve run amuck a few times), it don’t feel like I have to throw in the towel and start up again next year.  I just open up the app to read over the tips again and then take a stroll in my closet to look at all the clothes I can’t fit.

Tips for Snacking on the Go with Mott's

You never think about how important it is to have snacks readily available until you have a child.   Leaving the house with out snack is the main ingredient for a disastrous outing.  Ever been at the mall a little longer than expected right before lunch or dinner? Or, attend a birthday party where they only serve cake?  When this happens you end up feeding your child fast food options.  I would rather save that option for emergency (or lazy) situations.

Getting Back in my Clothes with #SimpleStart by Weight Watchers

So… while I was in Chicago for Christmas I made it a point to eat at all my favorite restaurants at least twice (or thrice).   You would have thought each meal was the last supper.  I was complaining about how my clothes didn't fit before Christmas.  After eating about 20 pounds in beef sandwiches, let’s just say my wardrobe has become a distant memory.   I can’t go out like that!  I've decided to take my health, body and closet back using Weight Watcher’s new Simple Start program.

All You Magazine at Publix #LifeforLess

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and All You, but all my opinions are my own. #lifeforless #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

I want to introduce you to a great money saving magazine, All YouAll You is the magazine that pays for itself and is now available at my favorite grocery store, Publix.  This magazine is out to help you save time and money!  Before being contacted to do this post, I was already a reader of All You.  I was amazed at the money saving tips and all the usable coupons that were in were included in All You.  Peyton and I took a trip to Publix and put some of All You magazines tips to the test.

The Secret to Movie Night

Going out for dinner and a movie with Mister are non-existent now that we have a child.  Even if it were easy to get out to the movies, who has 2 hours to sit in a movie theater?  The last time my husband and I went to the movies I sat there thinking about clothes that needed to be washed and folded, I gotta pick up some diapers on the way home, and what emails I need to respond to.  In the words of Sweet Brown “Ain’t no body got time for that!”  LOL!

Marcus Samuelsson Cooks in ATL for Macy's

I may not cook but boy do I like to eat!  I was double pumped to find out Marcus Samuelsson would be live at Macy's in Atlanta whipping up some Super Bowl inspired dishes!  I am sure you all know Marcus Samuelsson from Top Chef Masters, which he won.  He also was the chef for the first State Dinner for President Obama's first term!  Marcus also has a line of cookware for Belgique available at Macy's!  He is pretty much a rock star!  I was lucky enough to visit his Harlem restaurant, Red Roster when I was in NYC for NYFW last fall.
