Beach Ready Without Working Out #TENways

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TENways  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I think it’s safe to say that spring has arrived.  I’m about to head to the beach and I’m not ready!  I need at least 30 days to get my life together, eat better and work out.  I was doing well with my weight loss plan earlier this year.  I lost weight but the snow storms came, stores were closed and I ate whatever I could get my hands on.
Don't laugh at my big bathing suit bottom.

Panama Hat in Panama City!

I tried my best not to comb my hair during the trip, so having a cute hat was a must!  I think you should always have a cute hat on deck so you can look fab after being at the beach all day or getting your hair wet!
I picked up this Panama hat from Target in the men section a few days before we left.

Mama Needs a Swimsuit

Peyton was walking around the house last weekend saying she was going to the beach with her little buckets.  I kept thinking to myself... how does this child know what a beach is?  After further questioning I found out she learned what a beach was from watching Caillou!  I felt bad that she has not been to a beach so I booked a mini vacay to the Gulf Coast in FL for Spring Break.  But now I am freaking out because I am not in bathing suit condition!  I'm frantically looking for a flattering swim suit.  These are the only ones I like online.
Mara Hoffman Fringe one piece - Super cute but I need support for my tah-tahs.  Not sure if this will get it done!

GrUVy Wear Review

July 4th is tomorrow!  Can't wait to have a day off and EAT!

Peyton received this cute active swimwear from GrUVy Wear!  As hot as it has been in Atlanta we need it!

GrUVy Wear specializes in protective swim wear that offers a UPF of 50+, blocking over 98% of the sun's harmful rays.

No matter the color of your skin you need to be protected from harmful rays!  UV rays can cause sunburn, aging and of course cancer!  Kids have to be protected from the UV rays at birth!  Most damage is done before kids reach 18 years old!  I think GrUVy Wear is a great product for kids to wear especially if they are outside for an extended period of time.  This a great option for the water park, boating, and jet skiing.

Ready to go mom!
Peyton in her hang ten pose!

Here are some other Sun Safety Tips:

  • The sun is at it's strongest between 10am - 4pm.  Try to seek shade during these times
  • Wear protective clothing!  GrUVy Wear has got you covered!
  • Apply sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before heading outside.
  • Wear shades to protect your eyes.  Another reason to wear fabulous shades!
  • If your child gets sun burned apply pure Aloe Vera gel and you can use ibuprofen or acetaminophen to relieve pain

GrUVy Wear has protective clothing for babies, kids and adults!  You can even mix and match tops and bottoms to match for team sports or add bling details!

GrUVy Wear is offering 15% off to Baby Shopaholic readers until July 15!  Use code SAVE1549 at checkout

What do you do to protect yourself from UV rays?

I received a complimentary outfit from GrUVyWear in exchange for this post.  All opinions expressed are my own

Baby Fab Swimwear

Luckily Peyton can border line fit a few out of the ten of her swimsuits from last summer.  But I doubt if she will make it through this summer in them.  Check out these cute swimsuits that I found.

I am dying over this fringe bikini from 77 Kids .  It's a little on the grown side but still super cute!

Peyton Weekend Pool Style

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Peyton had a play date with my BFF's two year old little girl Lexi!  Lexi's Mom and I have been friends since High School back in Chicago!  Since we are both so busy with being mom's and life, we don't get together much outside of family parties and birthdays.  We finally got together to took the girls to the pool on Saturday.

Peyton's bikini was $6 from Old Navy.  Sandals from Payless.

These two divas had a ball!  We had lunch drinks  by the pool.  The girls did not want to leave!  Can't wait till the next one!

If you have little ones, how often do you schedule play dates?

Peyton is sporting a Baby Gap floral bikini that was $13.

After having a ball in the pool she lounged in this Gap cover up that we got at a consignment store for $2.

Sunday we headed down to the Atlanta Jazz Fest to meet up with Mimi from Lipgloss and Binky.

She is rocking a Maxi dress from H&M that was $5!!!  Shoes are from Payless.  Too bad she lost one at the fest.

Maxi dresses are still going strong this summer! Better get you one!

Wax On... Wax Off!

It's Memorial weekend and the pools will be open!  So it's time for Mama to get that pocketbook in order!

Mine has really been out of commission since I got preg!  TMI....  I was so happen the nurse hooked me up before my C-Section!

Anywho... I found these on the clearance rack in Publix.  They are normally about $8.

I had a Pole Dancing Party Class that weekend so I grabbed them.

Two strips are stuck together so you rub them b/w your hands for like 20 secs and pull them apart.

I started with the top.  Rubbed the strip a little bit and braced my self and pulled!  Not too bad!

Then I got bold and went down under!  I had my foot on my ottoman and everything!  So I braced and ripped pulled!  I'm an idiot b/c I hit my hand on the counter!  Turned blue and everything!  Needless to say I didn't feel any pain down there!

Bottom line, I love these!  I went back and got all the ones left.  I will be waxing all summer!  If your brave girl I recommend these.

What do you do to maintain your Pocketbook for the summer?

Swimwear Score and other Finds!

I got up super early on Saturday because Old Navy was having 60% off all swimwear!  It was only from 7-11am!  My crazy butt was there at 7:05!  Here is what I got for Peyton.

Each suit was $4.80!  Can't beat that!  I also grabbed me two suits, a one piece and a bikini!!!  The were about $12 each.  I am still on the fence about them.  They can be used as a back up, so I am still in search for a good Mama suit!

We also found some other great deals last week that I didn't tell you about.

Got these Koala Kids shorts at Babies R Us, they were $6 org. $8!

Got this cute double breasted sweater jacket at the Seed Factory in Atlanta (love this place).  It is Zutano and got it for $15, normally about $50.

Did you hit up the Old Navy Sale?
