I know summer is just about over (Yay fall!), but I love my milkshakes all year long. I’m not a big plain ice cream in a bowl eater but hand me a milkshake and watch me go HAM! Milkshakes at restaurants don’t have my best interests or waistline at heart. I was challenged with the task of making my own low-cal milkshake that will satisfy cravings and save my closet at the same time. Using Sweet’N Low, I created the guilt free Oreo milkshake!
2 cups Breyer’s sugar free vanilla ice cream
1 pack of Oreo crisps
¼ to ½ cup of almond coconut milk
2 packets of Sweet’N Low
*Makes two servings or one large milkshake.
Add the ice cream to a tall glass. Crush the Oreo crisps into crumbs over the ice cream. They break up pretty easily. Then add the packets of Sweet’N Low to the glass. Pour on the milk, using as much or little as you like to get the consistency you desire. I like mine pretty thick. Using a large spoon, mix all the ingredients together for about 15 seconds. Feel free to share or drink directly out of the glass.
Feel free to use any kind of low fat or sugar free milk you desire. Almond coconut milk is naturally sweet but low in sugar which makes this milkshake a great diabetic friendly treat!
Your kids will love these! Peyton can't get enough. Plus, a milkshake with less than 250 calories will bring all the boys to the yard! What is your favorite guilt free desert? Visit Sweet'N Low on Facebook to get more recipe ideas.
