I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween weekend.  We also got an extra hour of sleep.  But let's keep it real, that extra hour means your kids are just up even earlier.  I was hoping that rolling our clocks back one hour would help me get Peyton into bed earlier but it didn't work. I'll try again tonight.  Peyton had a ball trick or treating with her friends from school.  Oh, and actress Kaira Akita from Tyler Perry's Why did I Get Married (the crazy baby mama) and A Family that Preys (the hilarious secretary) dressed up as Peyton for Halloween.  We're so flattered and she nailed it.  You can see her pics HERE.  Thanks Kaira!  As promised, here is another one of Peyton's looks from Kids Fashion Week in NYC taken by Nasilele Photography.

It's been a rough week in Atlanta with all the snow and ice.  Peyton has been out of school since Tuesday so it has been challenging try to manage work (my job never closes) and entertain her.  But it's Friday! Faux Fur Style Challenge

Who doesn't love a fashion challenge?  I'm participating in a faux fur style collab with a few other fabulous ladies (see below).  Each of us are showing how we wear faux fur.  Faux fur can be a serious addiction!  Instead of wearing my white snow princess coat again, I decided to wear my Leslie Tessler faux fur collar with my navy cape.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I just noticed that Christmas is almost two weeks away! EEEK!  We don't even have a tree up yet.  I have a lot of work to do this week.  Peyton was sick last week and out of school for 3 days with some kind of bug.  Nothing worse than a sick child.  She is all better and was ready to take pictures before heading to a birthday party she was determined not to miss.

Saturday, I attended the Honda Battle of the Bands presented by Verizon!  I went to a state university up north so I never experienced bands that make you dance (hehe)!  Even thought I may have been old enough to be some of the kids in the band mom, I didn't want to look like it! LOL!  I broke out my new utility jacket I got before Christmas.

Happy Friday!!!  I totally jumped on the Camo train!  When my girl Tasha, owner of Imperfect Concepts, started selling them I knew I had to have one.  I found my self getting sad every time some one instagramed their fabulous jacket from her boutique.  So I did it!

Mama's Birthday Outfit

Thank You guys for all the wonderful Birthday Wishes!  It was a great one!  The party got started on Saturday night with a girls night out with my buddies!  I did not take any pictures before I headed out, so smart me decides to take some in the dark after being out and a few several drinks. 

Pretty City Atlanta

I don't know if you noticed but I have not been out to with any of my Bloggy Peeps in a while, besides NYFW!  Mister and I have been rolling out lately.  But I was super excited to head out for a girls night out to Pretty City's Live Beautifully Event in Atlanta at Tongue & Groove! This event celebrates adding beauty to our everyday lives.  Pretty City showcases new brands and products and  local businesses like, hair, nails & make-up offering complimentary service during the event! 

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

One of the best sale of the year starts on July 20th!  It is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!  The reason it is one of the best is because it sale where Nordstrom brings out NEW fall items before they are available in most stores at almost half off!  Awesome huh!  I could not link the items because they were only available for early access reward members (that sounds snooty! LOL)

Stocking Up for (Next) Winter

In January it is hard for me to continue buy more clothes for this winter.  I take advantage of the sales to get clothes for next year or items that can transition to spring.

I have been eyeing that parka from the Gap all fall / winter.  It was org. $68!  These tops are great to transition to the spring.

Peyton got a few coats on clearance last year from Old Navy that fit her perfect now.

The holidays are now over!  What do we do?  Does everyone feel like its going to take forever to get back on track? 

Saturday night we headed to church and Sunday we just kinda chilled out.  Peyton wore this to Sunday to kick off the new year.

Peyton is wearing a light blue denim moto jacket from Baby Gap with H&M long sleeve tee.  Jeggings are from Walmart $5 with knee high boots from JC Penny.  Peyton is also sporting a new smile. 

Moto jackets are timeless and work with just about everything!

Back to the smile, this girl is a trip.  Check out her YMCA card Mister took her to get. Too funny!
