Fall FabKids

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  Mine was pretty business.  I hosted a blogger brunch on Saturday with Lexi with the Curls and that turned out AWESOME!  I got home early Saturday evening to find that Peyton had a fever.  She was still playing and acting like nothing was wrong.  She had a fever on Thursday so I stayed home with her and she was fine Friday.  Saturday evening, we decided to take her to urgent care.  We got some meds and no more fever.  Peyton is a solider, so she'll be back to 100% in no time!  

Did you know that their are trends fashion trends in pre-K?  The current trend in Peyton's class is tutus and dresses....EVERYDAY.  FabKids has us covered with their new fall collection full of dresses with legging and skirts! 

Twinkle Toes + Cabbage Patches

It's hard to believe that Peyton started school almost a month ago!  I still feel like I'm scrambling making sure she has everything she needs.  Peyton is also taking Spanish and dance classes so the lists of items she needs keep coming!  I'm also still tightening up her fall wardrobe.  Since the weather in Atlanta is still scorching, Peyton has been expressing her back to school style through her shoes.  Her gold Twinkle Toes by Skechers are all the rave in her pre-K class.

I know we're all still talking about Beyonce shutting down the VMA's and Blue stealing the show but I'm super excited to share LoveMyAlannah fall back to school lookbook!  *throws confetti*  The fall collection is SICK!  Amazing headbands, watches, and earrings.  I want every single piece for Peyton.  I'm honored that Peyton and I were asked to be involved in LoveMyAlannah's epic look book.  While Peyton did her thing in front of the camera, I was behind the camera, styling the mini models.  The lookbook was shot by the amazing team of Creative Soul Photography.

Picture Day Outfits

Most kids are back to school by now.  Now we need to think about picture day!  We may not be able to control how they smile but we can at least make sure they are dressed the part.  I like to dress Peyton in a more classic and timeless outfit for school pictures.  I don't want her to look back and ask me what the heck did I make her wear.  Here is a little inspiration to create your child's picture perfect look. 

Back to School Shopping Spree at Tanger Outlet

My favorite part of back to school time is shopping (duh)!  All of us moms get a free pass to pick out super cute outfits for our kids and maybe a few things for ourselves.  We gotta look cute too when we drop them off right?  The Baby Shopaholic family took a ride down to the Tanger Outlet in Locust Grove, GA for a back to school shopping spree.  Tanger Outlets in Locust Grove is home to outlet and factory stores like Banana Republic, Coach, J Crew, Carter’s, Hanes, Columbia, Brooks Brothers and more!  Check out what we picked up and learn about the upcoming Kid Style Fashion Tour with Bridgit Mendler.

Back to School Suitcase

Now is the perfect time to stock up on school supplies for both school and home because there are so many deals.  I try to keep a few boxes of crayons on deck for when Peyton’s stash is depleted because of Mister and I stepping on them all the time.  Crayons, papers and coloring books are everywhere in our house.   Peyton has a desk but her drawing and coloring take place everywhere else.   In an attempt to decrease the mess, I put together this little back to school suitcase to keep all her items.

In less than two weeks, Peyton will be starting pre-k! *insert Home Alone face* Where did the time go?  I’m a little sad but excited for my baby. Peyton will be starting pre-k in August and I can’t believe I will have a school age child on my hands. Even though I may shed a tear on the first day of school, I get excited about back to school shopping. Peyton and I headed to Shoe Carnival this weekend to pick up some new kicks for school.

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is the best sales of the year!  Why? Because Nordstrom marks down NEW items for fall before fall even starts!  Where else can you get new released leather boots for 30% to 40% off before fall?  If you are a Nordstrom cardholder you can shop the sale NOW!  The sale opens up to everyone on July 18th.  My strategy is to go for the good stuff like boots, coats and handbags.  That is the stuff you have a hard time getting a deal on during the fall and winter season.  Below, I listed some of the items I can't wait to get my paws on.

Fall Preview at Carter's + OshKosh Headquarters

Another one of my (kid) fashion dreams have come true!  I had the privilege of spending the afternoon at the headquarters of largest children's apparel company, Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh!  Can you believe they are headquartered in Atlanta and Peyton and I don't have a key card? Of course, I was more than happy to attend Carter's insider event during Mom 2.0.

I have been slacking on sharing my recent purchases for Peyton.  I've been picking up items for the last month for back to school and her fall wardrobe.  Sadly, this is not all of it, just what I can remember.  Some items get hung, some get put in a drawer and some stay in the bag.  Yes, I'm a shopaholic!

Back to School in H&M

More kids are heading back to school this week.  I'm still scouting the new fall items from some of my favorite places to shop for Peyton.  H&M is always at the top of my list on places to shop when seasons change.  I've already picked up several items in stores and online.

Weekend Style: Mean Girl

Whelp, it's Monday.  I hope this week flies buy because I need another weekend asap.  I don't know if it's the terrible 3's but Peyton has been mean, mainly to adults.  She is not mean 100% of the time but enough, for me to be like "Pump the breaks P"!  Once I stop her in her tracks and put her in time out she turns on the sweetness!  Smiling and saying "I love you Mommy!  Your the best ever!". This girl is slick!  I think this cute tough girl look she is rocking suits her personality!
