Mamanista Friday: Ponchos + Link-up is Back

Happy Halloween!  I can't believe November is tomorrow! OMG!  This year has gone by at epic speeds.  A few weeks ago Mama Fashion Files and I announced that we would no longer host the link-up portion of Mamanista Friday.   After a several emails and threats from readers, we have decided to bring it back!  Keep on reading for info on how to link-up and the look for next Friday's link-up.  This week, Mama Fashion Files and I are wearing ponchos.

The $20 Jumpsuit

I'm an advocate for mixing high and low pieces.  I've been trying focus on buying more quality pieces  for my wardrobe this fall but these low price point stores keep calling me!  And then my girl Danielle from The Style and Beauty Doctor posted this $20 jumpsuit.  I straight swagger-jacked her and ran out an purchased this jumpsuit IMMEDIATELY! Seriously, on my lunch break! 

Mamanista Fridays: Booties

I always rush season changes, especially fall because it's my fave!  I'm so ready for fall I don't know what to do! I almost feel like staying in the house until it's 60 degrees out.  I'm tired of my wearing tank tops and painting my to nails.  I just want to wear boots and cute jackets.  Mama Fashion Files and I thought it would be great to incorporate some transitional pieces for Mamanista Fridays.  We pulled out our booties, a fall must have!

Summertime LBD

Last night I went to the Beyonce and Jay Z concert.  It was more than I could have ever dreamed of!  I'll share more about the concert soon.  Right now I can barely keep my eyes open but I wanted to share a LBD (little black dress) I wore to the Adorn Media Group roof top launch party last Saturday.

I'm still raving about my trip to LA for LuckyFabb!  I had the perfect trip (besides getting sick after returning home) and my LA crew was awesome!  I have a few more outfits to share from my LA events.  Saturday, LuckyFabb hosted a beautiful brunch with Lucky Magazine Editor and Chief, Eva Chen.

If you follow me on Instagram, you would've gotten a sneak peek at what I wore to LuckyFabb in LA.  Dressing for a conference can be a little stressful, especially a fashion conference.  Instead of trying to do something crazy and out of the norm, I decided to wear something that would be comfortable and flattering with some super cute shoes.

Best of the Fest with ModCloth

I hope you guys had a great weekend.  I just made it back from L.A. for LuckyFabb.  Even though I was dog tired, I managed to get some pictures of Peyton yesterday.  I put my SD card in the computer and all her pictures were corrupted!  So your stuck with some pictures of me today until I figure out how to fix it.   My few days in LA were action packed!  I had a ball hanging with Danielle from Style and Beauty Doctor and Aracely from Mama Fashion Files.  I couldn't have asked for a better crew to roll with.  Right off the plane, we headed to have lunch and checkout some "Best of the Fest" looks from ModCloth.

It's been a rough week in Atlanta with all the snow and ice.  Peyton has been out of school since Tuesday so it has been challenging try to manage work (my job never closes) and entertain her.  But it's Friday! Weekend Style: Rocking Phillip Lim

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine was crazy busy and bittersweet.  My mom moved back to Chicago this weekend.  This was in the works for a few months.  I'm kinda sad about it but I think it's the best thing for her.  In addition to packing up my mom, Peyton started soccer on Saturday.  Then on Sunday, Peyton and I hit up Target to check out the Phillip Lim collab.  Watch Peyton WERK in one of the Phillip Lim items I purchased.
