Mister's Party by Park Avenue Events

Mister's birthday party came and went.  We had such a fabulous time, our friends and family are still talking about it.  I called myself planning early so I wouldn't be overwhelmed.  #WRONG.  A few weeks before the party I started to freak out and have nightmares that people would show up and I would have a bonnet on my head, wearing ratty sweats and a t-shirt.  I started venting on twitter.  After my rant, I got an email from Hester, the owner of Park Avenue Events saying she would like to help me out with the event I was planning.  Look at Gawd! 

Early 60's Birthday Party

I hope you all had a great weekend.  I'm switching things up a bit today.  Instead of Peyton doing her thang, you're getting the whole Baby Shopaholic family today.  Mister's big birthday party was almost 2 weeks ago and I'm still tired.  The party started out with a Mad Men theme but I was afraid it would get to corny and went with an early 60's theme instead.

I officially have a big girl on my hand.  My sweet baby doll, Peyton is 4 years old today *sheds one thug tear*.  If you want time to fly, have a baby!  Feels like I just brought her home from the hospital.

New handbag!  I'm so overdue for a new bag.  While in NYC, I spotted this gorgeous Coach Legacy Pinnacle bag.  This photo doesn't do it justice, you have to see it in person.

Today is Mister's Birthday!  Yes, his birthday is in the shadows of Peyton's.  Poor thing!  But we will #TurnUp tonight!

I'm still recouping from my crazy 4th of July week. Trying to play catch up! Peyton's 3rd Birthday party was a smash hit!  Big thanks to PJ Tuttles for making the SuperPeyton Party off the chain!  Why a Superhero theme you ask?  That was Peyton's idea.  She doesn't want to be a princess anymore, she is SuperPeyton!  I have no clue where this came from.  Lucky for me, PJ Tuttles has the cutest Superhero theme party decor!  I wanted to share some of the decor from the party.

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July weekend!

My baby doll turned 3 years old on Sunday!  I can't believe how fast time flies!  Peyton celebrated with friends at her SuperPeyton Party at a indoor play facility.  I didn't get pictures of Peyton before the party started so these were taken after hours of play after the party was over and it wasn't easy.  And for some reason the pics of her fit are blurry : ( of course for her birthday, ugh!

Casual in Camo

I've been in casual dress mode lately.  I think its due to the fact that I can't fit anything in my closet!  I also have Fall on the brain and want to wear pants and jackets all the time!  I stepped out in these camo pants last Friday to celebrate my girl Lexi with the Curls birthday.  Sorry for the blurry pictures.  I wasn't going to post these at all so I tried to work with what I had.

Pulling it Together in Leopard + Snake Print

I am getting old (praise God)!  I can't hang like I used to!  I was out Thursday evening and Friday my bloggy buddy Tia from If I were a Brit Girl was celebrating her birthday!  I could not miss my girl's birthday but it was so hard to pull it together.  Normally I have my outfits ready to go but Friday it just didn't happen.  After an hour of pulling out clothes (that is why I pick my clothes in advance) this is what I came up with!

Weekend Style: Skate Party

Where do the weekends go?  I think I need to take a Monday off just to sleep (while Peyton's at school).  Saturday Peyton and I went to one of my bestie son's 2nd birthday skate party!  Two year old skating?  Peyton took a nap in the car on the way to the party so she was not in the mood when we got to the skating rink.  She was not feeling taking pictures.  I will make sure I take them before I leave the house next time!

DVF Little Black Dress

Saturday night I partied like a rock star with my Aunt (in-law) for her 60th birthday at the fabulous W Hotel.  I finally pulled out my new LBD that I purchased in the fall from Cusp Neiman Marcus.

Has it been a year already?  The first Baby of Hip Hop turns 1 today!  Happy Birthday to this sweet baby girl!  I think Peyton's party invitation got lost in the mail... we'll catch up with them next year!

Weekend Style: Bowling + Bows

I want to send thoughts and prayers for the community of Newton, CT.  My stomach has been in knots since this tragedy happened.  My heart aches for all that have been affected!  I am sure we all held our kids a little tighter this weekend!

Sunday, Mister and I took Peyton to a bowling birthday party.  I didn't know that lil two year olds could even bowl!  Too much cuteness!

Mama's Birthday Outfit

Thank You guys for all the wonderful Birthday Wishes!  It was a great one!  The party got started on Saturday night with a girls night out with my buddies!  I did not take any pictures before I headed out, so smart me decides to take some in the dark after being out and a few several drinks.

Fly Power 2nd Birthday Party

Last Sunday I took Peyton to Little Power's aka Fly Power,  2nd Birthday Party!  Power is the little brother to celebrity kid dj, DJ Priest!  This party was filled with games, music and child performances!

Thank you guys for all the Birthday wishes for Peyton! 

You guys saw Peyton's Berry Sweet Birthday outfit with the wonderful skirt from Giavanna's Closet and her blinged out Chuck Taylors!  I think every little girl should have a pair of blinged out shoes!  When I decided that I wanted her to have some chucks I checked out Etsy to find a seller only to find out they cost about $80-$100.  No Ma'am!  So the jewelry maker in me set out to make my own.  Pretty easy but just takes time. 

Peyton's Berry Sweet 2nd Birthday Party

So my baby is now 2!  Next thing you know I am going to be talking about her sweet 16!  Peyton had a blast at her Berry Sweet 2nd Birthday party at Kangazoom indoor play center!

Weekend Style in DVF

There is just not enough time in the weekends!  I hope everyone had a good one!  Our weekend was action packed!  I managed to take Peyton to one of my BF's baby Elijah 1st Birthday Party! 


Peyton rocked a DVF (Diane  von Furstenberg) top for Gap Kids.  You guys know how in love with this line.   

Peyton's nautical jeans are from Old Navy, $12.  Red Mary Janes are from Target, $5.

Up until til this picture, after we got home, Peyton was not cooperating with the camera.  As much as I paid for this shirt, Peyton decides to have a blowout shortly after this photo and getting it on her DVF!  She normally goes early in the day but of course she had to go at 5pm and mess up her top!  We had a long conversation about how you don't go poopy when you are wearing DVF!

We finally made it to this little cutie pie's first Birthday Party!  How cute is Elijah dressed up as a train conductor for his Train themed party!  Elijah showed up early last year so he was able to attend his own Baby Shower.  Check out his Sip n See HERE.

I was so proud of Elijah's mom for making this train banner with a picture from each month.  Love it!

What did you ladies get into this weekend?  Any blowouts after you get them all dressed up or put them in something new?  LOL!

Monday Mingle: Mimi's Birthday!

On Friday night I went out to celebrate one of my bloggy BFF's, Glossy Mimi's Birthday!

Is that the Double 3's Mimi is throwing up?   We started off with late dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! YUMM!

I wore my Kardashian Kollection blazer from Sears.  I am in love with the blazers from this line. Jeans are from Forever 21.  Belt from Target.  Top is actually a DKNY shape wear top from Nordstroms.  These tops are my new best friend!  It held me in and smoothed me out.  I will be getting a few more!

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, only had my phone.  If you follow both of us on twitter, you saw that we were tweeting from the dance floor!  After that, the details are a little fuzzy... All I know is that Mimi's beautiful hair ended up in a slick back bun!  Good times!
