Who is ready to Partay!!!  I am trying to get all the way in the Holiday spirit!  I'm at about 30%.  I am sure that will change because I have a busy weekend with holiday parties!  Last week I shared some of my picks for more Casual Holiday Outfits (HERE) and now it's time to SHUT it DOWN!

Stand Up for Family in Rachel Roy

Friday, I attended the American Family Insurance Stand Up for Family Comedy Tour private reception.   Thanks to Bag Ladies Radio that allowed me to attend and represent for them, thanks Erin!  Stand Up for Family is a family friendly comedy tour hosted by actor/ comedian Bill Bellamy.

Tinsley Mortimer's Southern Charm Event

On Tuesday evening, I had to pleasure of attending designer, author and socialite Tinsley Mortimer's debut book celebration, Southern Charm at Neiman Marcus.  The event was hosted by Hpnotiq Harmonie, so drinks and sweets were bottomless!

 

Doesn't Tinsley look like a doll!  She is beyond gorgeous!  Tinsley shut it down in this one shoulder pearl beaded Alice + Olivia dress.  LOVE!

Tinsley is a sweetheart!  I was able to get a signed copy of Southern Charm.  Her debut book is a modern Manhattan fairy tale with the sparkle of a champagne cocktail, Tinsley Mortimer’s debut novel provides a delicious peek into her world of society, fashion, and big-city fame.

Cupcakes by Cocktail Cupcakes infused with Hpnotiq Harmonie.  Cupcakes + liquor = Amazing!

The drink of the night was Minty Julep!  Want to make one?  We were given bookmarks with the recipe,The Minty Julep: Equal parts HPNOTIQ Harmonie and St. Germain, 1.5 oz Gin, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Splash of soda with a mint garnish.

The night could not get any better sipping on HPNOTIQ Harmonie cocktails, munching on delicious treats and mingling with Tinsley and signed copy of Southern Charm!  Have you gotten your hands on the book yet?

When Mama Shops Again

I have not purchased any clothing or shoes since my declaration of no shopping last week.  I did break down and buy some jewelry on Friday.  What had happen was.... (lol) A girl in my office sells jewelry and she brought them over to me and put all this cute stuff in my face!  I couldn't help it!  Now I am reading more magazines and looking around on line.  I don't know if that is helping since I have a running list of what I want.  Hopefully I will get over the hump but in the mean time here are some things I can't wait to buy when I shop again.

 Tory Burch Robinson Satchel - I saw this in Luck Mag and I can't stop thinking about it.  I think I could carry it all year.

 Mango White Bootcut Jeans - I have some white skinny jeans but I think I need a nice bootcut.

French Connection Jag Stripe Dress- I know stripes is a no no if you are trying to look skinny but for some reason I feel this may break that rule.

 Delias Floral Skinny Jeans - Yes I am getting on the floral jean train!  How cute would this be with the white peplum top!

I Heart Rachel!

I am currently trying to plan my Spring / Summer looks (in January).  I have been a big fan of Rachel Roy a while but most of her original line was beyond my price point!  I am so happy that she has started Rachel Rachel Roy!  Check out some items that I Heart from her Spring Rachel Rachel Roy line.

I was speed shopping in Macy's last week and happen to run into this gorgeous dress! Got it for on sale for  $45!  I will be rocking this spring and summer!

Pretty Girls Rock!

Last Thursday I attended the 1st Annual Pretty Girls Rock event benefiting The Love Offering Foundation that helps to raise awareness of health and wellness for those affected by debilitating illness such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.

Event was great!  Can't wait to attend next year!

The dress is Rachel Roy.  This dress is really drappy, you have to see it in person to appreciate it!  I am carrying a vintage Gucci clutch.

Actually not sure of the brand of the shoes but LOVE them! Got them from my "Shoe Guy" only $30!  I know you guys are thinking, this girl is always rockin some cheap shoes!  I sure do!  I have no problem rocking $25 shoes with a thousand dollar handbag : )  I like funky shoes and different styles, so I don't like to spend a ton of $$$ on shoes I may only wear a few times.  I TRY my best to pick the ones that don't look too cheap....

Don't get me wrong I still want my Louboutins! and I do have some nice ones that I will keep forever.
