Guest Post: Direct Buy for Baby

My BFF Rhonda from Looms Lids and Layers is expecting her first child (check out her shower I co-hosted here) and she shared with me how much she saved getting her baby gear and furniture from Direct Buy.  I asked her if she would like to share with my fellow Baby Shopaholics!

Thanks Trina for the offer to share my deals with your blog family! I am sort of limited on what I can disclose such as actual prices due to the contract with Direct Buy! However, I am here to tell you that it is a membership fee well spent because you get it back and so much more.

Basically, Direct Buy has brand name merchandise at a clearance price! For example, Hubby is an electronics guru! He does research on the competitors and prices all of the time. We got out plasma TV for nearly half the cost of the average retailer. I am a very soon to be mom and I wanted Peg Perego travel system for my car seat and stroller. I saved nearly $300 on that. I also ordered our nursery furniture for almost half the total cost.

We have been members since 2007. Honestly, at the beginning we thought it was a scam because it sounded too good to be true!

Another great perk to Direct Buy is if you are remodeling your home or moving into a new home and you want granite counter tops, they have an array of choices as well installation is offered. When we visited for the open house, we recognized the names of some physicians getting work done through their company! So we knew then it was not a hoax! They have hardwood, tile, and carpet. They offer baby apparel, furniture, and toys. Remember, these are the same products you can buy from Best Buy, Sears, and Home Depot as well as any online company with brand name products.

The only thing that you may not like is the waiting period. You do have to order your merchandise and it may take 4 to 8 weeks to receive sometimes. Hey, it's worth it in the end!
Just think about it! It is a great investment.

Thanks for reading!

Disclaimer: I have not been paid to give my review or experience on this company. These are my own personal thoughts

Thanks for sharing Rhonda!  This little girl is going to have best of the best due to your shopping skills!  Make sure you guys check out her blog, Looms, Lids and Layers.

How did you guys save or plan to save on baby gear?
