Bands Will Make Her Dance! #HBOB2013

Saturday, I got to check out the 11th Annual Honda Battle of the Bands presented by Verizon Wireless! The Honda Battle of the Bands invitational highlights eight of the nation’s top Historically Black College and University (HBCU) marching bands.  These band definitely brought it and made me dance!
With Curvie Birdie!  We were in there looking like old college grad students! LOL!  You can check out what I wore HERE

You know you are watching a baaad band when they all lay down in the middle of the field!

How can these bands play instruments and know where to walk on a football field at the same time?

Bands spelled out school letters one the field!  Again... I could not do this!  I would be the only one out of place.

You gotta love the dancing ladies!  This picture points out another reason why I could not be in a band!  Look how sexy these uniforms are!

Since I didn't attend a HBCU, I really enjoy events like this!  It was a great time and all the bands did awesome!  They all left with grant money for their schools from Honda, Verizon and SunTrust!   I can not imagine the time and dedication it takes for each band member!  Kudos to you!  Were you in a Band in College or High School?  Do marching bands make you dance?

I am a Verizon Wireless Ambassador and they provided me with this phone and service.  Opinions expressed are my own.

  1. "like old college grad students" with ya' face beat, fly and fabulous! I always wanted to be one of those dancing ladies! Next year, I have to go!!

  2. Honestly, I'm just a big ol' band geek at heart, I totally dig this stuff (c; And yikes, I don't even like putting on a bathing suit to go to the pool...so don't even get me started on those uniforms and then *DANCING* in front of a stadium full of people!!!

  3. Will you judge me if I say I started dancing just at the post title alone... Ha! This looks like fun!

    1. No judging here! Both Bands will make me dance : )

  4. "T" is for Tennessee..." My alma mater was at the HBOTB. Too bad I couldn't make it. Would have loved to take my kids.
