Memorial Day Essentials for Girls + Boys

It's hard to believe summer is almost here!  I mean, we just had snow storms in Georgia, now school is out.  With Memorial Day weekend coming up, I have to make sure Peyton is beach (or pool) ready.  I put together a few Memorial Day essentials for both boys and girls.

What I Wore Day 2 at #LuckyFabb with Eva Chen

I'm still raving about my trip to LA for LuckyFabb!  I had the perfect trip (besides getting sick after returning home) and my LA crew was awesome!  I have a few more outfits to share from my LA events.  Saturday, LuckyFabb hosted a beautiful brunch with Lucky Magazine Editor and Chief, Eva Chen.

What I wore to #LuckyFabb

If you follow me on Instagram, you would've gotten a sneak peek at what I wore to LuckyFabb in LA.  Dressing for a conference can be a little stressful, especially a fashion conference.  Instead of trying to do something crazy and out of the norm, I decided to wear something that would be comfortable and flattering with some super cute shoes.

Hampton Hotels Hosting Tips + Win a Free Night

If you've ever hosted guests at your house for Christmas it may not be the most wonderful time of year for you.  You have to clean up, re-decorate, cook, and be the hostess with the mostess.  We would love for everyone to stay in one place but that is not always possible.  It's OK to suggest a hotel that will make your guests feel at home.  Personally, I prefer to stay in a hotel versus sleeping on a floor in a packed house.  Hampton Hotels would like for you to experience their Hamptonality this holiday season.  Hamptonality by Hampton Hotelsis all about celebrating the little moments that make a big difference.

What I'm Packing for Vacation

Less than 24 hours until we head to the BEACH!  I am so excited!  This is our first real family vacay!  We are NOT going to visit family or stay with friends.  Just us and the beach!  I thought I would share what I will be taking on the trip.  The theme of my vacation look is "Easy"!  No Spanx allowed!  LOL!  Check out what I put together.

Cover-up, French Connection (similar)/ Leopard High-waist Bikini, ASOS/ Straw floppy hat, Macy's (similar)/ Flipflops, OLD
I know what you are thinking... the cover up doesn't match the bathing suit!  I paid a lot of money for this cover up from French Connection and it has only been on one trip!  I must get my monies worth!  I am so in love with my high waist bikini!  I may not hope to get a picture in it... we shall see!

Shopping on the Magnificent Mile!

So we were in Chicago this past weekend (my hometown) and finished the weekend staying at the James Hotel on the Magnificent Mile downtown.  This hotel was very chic!  I felt like a rock star!

I love this style of bathroom, especially the sink.  Guess who else liked it too?

She decided she wanted to try and walk under it.  Very dangerous!  So I won't have a sink like that for a while.

The next morning Peyton and I got ready to hit the Magnificent Mile!

Peyton sported a Burberry shirt, $20 on sale at Neimans, and Red Tab Levi jeans that Mister bought. I know, Peyton is crawling on a hotel floor.  Trust me I made sure they vacumed and kept washing her up.  What else can you do with a mobile baby???

Peyton enjoyed watching all the people walking by.

Then we went to lunch at Eleaven on Ontario with my girlfriend Rae from college.

I am sad to say we didn't really find too much.  Nothing for Peyton!  Can you believe that?  I scored at the XXI store on Michigan, its the biggest Forever 21 store I have seen.  I did get a small bag, I will tell you more about that later : )

Normally Chicago has great shopping.  I recomend going in the summer during the Taste of Chicago!  Thats when Neimans and Saks have the best sales.  If you live or have visted Chicago, what are some of your favorite things to do?

Make sure you check out my post on So Family on Spring Break must haves!  Make sure you sign up if you haven't already.  Don't forget about the Charmed giveaway!
