Mamanista Fridays: Florals

This year is moving at record speeds!  I can't believe it's about to be March!  When March arrives I tend to move full speed with spring fashions.  This week for Mamanista Fridays we are wearing florals.  Florals are on trend for spring.  I actually own more floral items than I thought. I have a few pair of pants, dresses, tops and skirts.   I decided to wear the new addition to my floral collection, a navy floral dress from Lulu's.

Peyton’s Favorite Snacks: The Good Bad & Ugly

I’m amazed by how picky and opinionated kids can be about what they eat.   When I introduce a new healthy snack, I feel like I’m walking into my boss’s office to ask for a raise.  Not really, but almost.  It’s either yay or nay with this little one.  Mostly nay.   When I was a kid, I was happy to get any snack offered to me.

It's hard to believe that Diane Von Furstenberg's iconic wrap dress is 40 years old!  Talk about classic style!  Every woman should own at least one DVF wrap dress in their life!

Spring Moto Jacket

This weekend I realized I just can't run around like I used too.  I had a action packed weekend scheduled.  My Saturday started out with a private lunch for the Bronner Brothers Hair Show, then met up with Mister to get Peyton to take her to Mimi's house for a Disney party and then to the Hawk vs. Knicks basketball game.  Whew... I'm tired again just thinking about it.  Sunday morning I woke up with a crazy migraine that lasted until the afternoon.  I had events scheduled for Sunday but I didn't make it. I'm getting old.  Peyton had a great time and that's all that matters.

Mamanista Fridays: Sporty Chic

Happy Mamanista Friday's!  This was the first "normal" week since Atlanta came to a standstill after the snow storm.  The weather has been extremely nice and I hope it stays that way so we can just move on to spring.  This weeks Mamanista Friday's look is Sporty Chic.  This look consist of a mix of athletic inspired clothes and dress clothes.

Wanted: New Hairstyle

I'm looking for a change.  I've been wearing extensions for years.  They are easy to maintain, convenient and my hair (weave) always looks good.  But I'm kind of over it (for right now).  I need a new do!  I want a style that I can wear with my natural hair.

Baby Fashion Week Day 4: Lady in Red

This week has been nutz!  I had some kind of stomach bug on Monday and P got it yesterday.  Thankfully they are only lasting for 24hrs.  I'm sure Mister is up next.  On top of that, the city has been crippled with snow since Tuesday so you can't really go anywhere.  So ready for things to be "normal" again.  The Babiators event that was to be held tonight will be rescheduled, date tbd.  Peyton has one more Baby Fashion Week outfit to share.  Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow it's only right that Peyton wear the color of love.

Dermalogica Arrives in Atlanta

Dermalogica, the leader is skin health care, just opened their 5th concept location in at Atlanta in Atlantic Station.  I was honored to attend the Grand Opening celebration where I was able meet and chat with the founder of Dermalogica, Jane Wurwand.

Family Valentine's Day Gifts Ideas

I can't believe Valentine's day is next Friday!  Mister and I typically just go out an have dinner for V-day but this year I think we will be celebrating at the crib with Peyton.  Since we won't be going out, it's OK for Mister to buy me something nice.  I was planning on sharing my Valentine's wish list but I figured I would make this a family affair.

Awesome All Day

I hope you guys had a great weekend.  Peyton and I are taking a break today.  We've been traveling this weekend to support my good friend that lost her 14 month old son.  I'm so heartbroken for her, her husband and their 5 year old son.  I wish I could take just a little of the pain away.  I didn't want to say anything on the blog because this is hard to except.  Please say a prayer for my friend and the family.
