Let's Move with the First Lady

On Monday, First Lady, Michelle Obama participated in a Let's Move Hangout!  Let's Move is the First Lady's initiative to get kids healthy!

Not only was the hangout hosted by Kelly Ripa but Blogger/Writer of My Brown Baby, Denene was also on hand to chat with the First Lady!  Amazeballs Denene!  I would have stuttered the whole time!  You can watch the hangout below and see the First Lady hit the Dougie!

Here is a little info from Let's Move about obesity:
Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled, and today, nearly one in three children in America are overweight or obese. The numbers are even higher in African American and Hispanic communities, where nearly 40% of the children are overweight or obese. If we don't solve this problem, one third of all children born in 2000 or later will suffer from diabetes at some point in their lives. Many others will face chronic obesity-related health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and asthma.
I remember playing my heart out everyday as a child.  I am trying to make sure I keep Peyton moving and involved in activities (not hard for a two year old).  With our busy schedules, I know it's not so easy for everyone to make sure their kids stay active everyday.  With computers, cell phones and TV, bigger kids don't want to leave the couch!  We gotta find a way to change this cycle!

What do you do to keep your kids moving?  Visit Let's Move for more info (HERE).

  1. This is such a great initiative. I was not active at all but my kids were very much so and Madison stays active with lots of activities as well as her trampoline.

  4. More plus more everyone is choosing payday cash advances
due to easy eligibility requirements, fast processing in the loan money and much more
    payday loans
if you'll need finance on your old business, then you shouldn't have to get a
    business plan.
