What I Got from the Phillip Lim Target Collection

Just when I thought I was over the designer collabs with Target, I got sucked back in!  I've had my eye on a few Phillip Lim handbags for a while, trying to hold out for Santa (Mister).  I was hoping that the Target collaboration will help curve my appetite.  My girl Danielle from the Style and Beauty Doctor was able to get her hands on a couple of Phillip Lim Target bags during NYFW before us common folk could.  She posted a few of her bags and I made up my mind that I was going to try and get one.  Peyton and I pulled up to Target at about 8:05 am on Sunday.  No line at my store at all.  Matter of fact, there was only about 15 people there but the items were moving fast!

I went home with this beauty!  I actually had to hit a second Target to get this bag in black.  I bumped into my instagram pal, Melanie at the first Target I went to and told her how I wanted the bag in black.  She went to a 2nd Target and called me and told me that had one in black.  I did a quick U-turn to head to the second stop!  Well worth it!  The quality of this $34.99 bag was pretty amazing.  Of course it not leather but the bag doesn't scream cheap either.
It also has a cross-body strap.
And pockets!
I also picked up this scarf.  It was the last one left.
You see who wore it first.  It's ok because she looks so adorable.
Check out this horrid instagram from the dressing room (I was wearing sports bra).  The pieces I was excited about from the look book were not available at my store.  The clothing at my store were just...ok.  I think the Boom sweatshirt was my favorite.  I knew what ever I purchased it would only be worn once so I passed on all the clothes.  Maybe if I catch something on clearance but I'm not sure if anything will make it to clearance.

By 8:20 at my Target the section was looking really sketchy.  I'm not sure if folks purchased a lot or if they only sent a small number of items to each store.  Did you pick up any of the  Phillip Lim for Target items?  What did you get?  Are you over the collaborations?

  1. I was out of town this weekend and totally forgot about the Sunday launch. Went in this morning off Cobb Pkwy to see what I could find and it was a virtual wasteland.

Literally like 3 XL dresses, 1 drop-waist sweater dress and a bunch of lonely hangers swaying in the wind.

  2. I shopped online and in my local store. I was suprised that everything wasn't sold out in a matter of hours. It seemed to me the skirts and sweatshirts ran small and in person I just wasn't wowed. That being said I bought the floral print dress, animal print skirt medium size satchel
