What I Wore on the Red Carpet

Saturday, I had an amazing opportunity to be a red carpet correspondent for Bag Ladies Radio at the BET Hip Hop Awards.  Bah-nan-nahs!  I am so grateful for this opportunity.  I was out there to check out the fashions, seeing who was Haute and who was NOT!

For my hair... I wanted to do something low maintenance   The forecast called for clouds and rain so I rocked a high natural bun cocked to the side.  My makeup was done by the talented Jazmine from Fashion to Rouge!  I wanted a soft natural look and boy did my girl deliver!  The burnt orange lipstick was Jazmine's idea and the perfect touch!

I went for a more conservative look for the red carpet.  I wanted to make sure I separate myself from young groupies  ladies as much as possible!  I just LOVE my dress to death!  I got it from Nordstrom in the new Topshop section! How much do you think it was.....$350?  Nope! It was $96!

The dress is cream covered in black lace.  The cap sleeves is what got me!  This dress will be making an appearance during the holidays, wedding, parties... you name it!

I wore my new suede Sole Society booties!!!  The cut out detail makes the shoe.  Can you believe I had them on for 3hrs standing!!!

Being on the red carpet was a great experience and would love to do it again.  All the cameras, lights and people!  It was crazy and fun at the same time.  I am a Hip Hop head at heart!  Well, more of an old school head now.  I didn't know who 70% of the artist on the carpet.  I would hear the crowd roar, so I would ask... who is that? What do that sing?  I'm old!  Most of the artist were super nice, stopping to talk and take pictures.  I will be giving more dish on from the Red Carpet on Bag Ladies Radio soon!  I will let you guys know when I will be on air!  It's going to be gud!!!

Who are your current Hip Hop artist?  Yall listen to that ratchet music don't you? LOL!

  10. The dress is hot! That was a nice choice. You are right about the booties, the cut make them fierce. I'm still a hiphop fan but I'm definitely getting old becasue I don't know half the artist out now. But I will forever be a Jay Z fan. Congrats on the opp! You're looking fab like always!
