Iman Sweet Temptations Collection

Last Saturday after leaving the Stella & Dot party, Peyton and I headed over to Walmart to check out the Iman Cosmetics Sweet Temptations Spring collection.

During the event, makeup artist were on hand to give mini makeovers.  The not that she needs it but beautiful Jai from The Bare Skinny, got a mini makeover.

I left Walmart with this cute Sweet Temptations pallet.  Great to throw in your purse.

Here are my big lips with the orange color.  I love the color!  It has great coverage.

Gotta Keep the Pocketbook Clean: V-Bar Review

While at Fro Fashion Week I learned about the V-Bar!  It is exactly what you think it is!  A bar of soap for the Pocketbook!  After hearing testimonials at the show about the product I purchased a bar.

I used a the whole V-Bar.  I didn't really have any issues (to my knowledge) with my pocketbook before hand but I want to make sure I keep it healthy!  All I can say is that my Pocketbook and Mister are happy!

I connected with the founder of V-Bar, Tanya Tibbs after Fro Fashion Week.  I told her I enjoyed the bar and she graciously sent me the Men's Sports Bar for Mister use and to review.  She told me the men sport's bar is very good for men facial hair and razor bumps. 

Mister has a mild case of eczema.   You know how men are, they don't use the products that they need to and end up going around looking crazy.  I have purchased expensive creams for him to use and he never does.  Since using the men's sports bar in the shower daily he has not had any problems with eczema!  I can not believe after being with Mister for about 7 years and he has always had this problem and now its gone! 

So my overall review is that every woman should use the V-Bar!  Please go to her site and look at the testimonials.  Some of them made me cry to see that women have suffering for so long and how the V-Bar has changed their life!  The V-Bar can be used all over the body, but it is great for the Pocketbook!

I grew up in a church where women wore big hats on Sunday.  For Easter, the bigger the better!  So with all this hype our friends across the pond sporting fabulous hats and facinators.  A little person got a hold of my head piece.

And in more other news.  Peyton won't stay in her bed at all!  She scales her crib like she is jumping a fence while running from the cops!  I put her back 3 times last night.  When I thought she was finally down for the night, she rolled up on Mr and I at 2am!   I am never sleeping again.  This is why this post is up so late today. 

Mama's 5 Minute Makeup Tips

Now that I have become a Mother Zombie , putting on makeup every time I step out the door is a MUST!  If I don't I will scare everyone!  So I had to get my makeup routine down to science.

• Keep everything in one place.  Yes my train case is HUGE but I have everything in there.  Worst thing is to looking all over the place for something.  If it is not in there, either I am out or Peyton stole it.

• I put my daily "work" makeup on the top tray.  I don't have to dig in the bottom for the items I use everyday. 

• Keep all your brushes handy.  I love me some brushes!  I keep them all in the same area.  To clean them use baby wash!  I have plenty of that!

•  My biggest time saver is find a pallet that has all the colors together.  You don't have to fiddle around with finding a shadow for your lid, crease and brown.  This makes it easy and you can keep moving. 

•  Always keep you eyebrows done!   How many times have you started to get ready to see your looking a little like Bert from Sesame Street!  I nice clean brown takes you makeup to another level.

• In a time crunch apply the essentials!  For me concealer spackle is a must!  I take the most time on putting this on.   I always put on blush, it gives you a nice glow.   I put on mascara everyday.  It just opens up you eyes.

No excuse to get caught out with out makeup!  I tried to do a make up video.  When I got done it didn't even look like I put on any on the video! LOL.  I was done after that.  I will try again another time.

Stella & Dot Trunk Show with Mommy Posh and Mattie

Saturday afternoon Peyton and I attended a Stella and Dot trunk show at Mattie's with Gina from Mommy Posh from NYC!

It's hard to believe that Easter is this Sunday!  I meant to get this post out much earlier.  Easter is the day you go all out and take the little ones and yourself to church. Here are some looks I put together for Peyton.

Weekend Style: Color Blocking

It's April!  Already?  Boy, this year is flying!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Peyton and I had a busy Saturday.  We headed out early to a Stella and Dot trunk show hosted by Mattieologie and Mommy Posh.  Peyton did some major color blocking for the event.

Normally I don't do this many pictures but this baby was WERKING it!  I know everyone thinks I tell her to do this but I don't.  She switches up the poses while I am snapping pictures.  I don't know where she gets this from.  Yall know I do the same old pose.

Peyton is wearing a blazer from Gap Kids, $18 on clearance.  Yellow not so skinny jeans from Old Navy, $12.  Shirt was $1 from H & M.  Shoes are Toms.

Color blocking is a MUST for Spring!  I have been dabbling in the color blocking game myself.  It's pretty simple.  Just grab some colored jeans and choose at least another bright color for your top or jacket.  Have you done it yet?
