Verizon's How Sweet the Sound Celebration

On Monday, Mister and I attended the Verizon Wireless How the Sound Gospel Celebration where 6 area choirs compete to win $10,000 and head to NYC to compete for the grand prize of $50,000!

I wore my new Ponte Sheath Dress c/o Lands' End.  I HEART this dress!  With the help of some shapewear and my good bra, I thought it looked pretty good.  Mister was digging it too!  I want one in every color!  I am carrying my Gucci Jackie bag.

My Prema booties c/o Just Fab!  Just Fab has the "Bootie" game on lock!   These boots are just $39.95!

This was sort of a date night for Mister and I.  I wanted some wine but since it was a Gospel event, I passed :  )
The show opened with Grammy award winning hosts Yolanda Adams and Donald Lawrence.

Judges: Fred Hammond, Erica Campbell (Mary Mary), Hezekiah Walker and CeCe Winans

Here are pictures of the Choirs that competed:
I loved the look this choir had.

The last Choir to battle it out brought the house DOWN!

Needless to say they won and will be headed to New York to compete against other finalist on November 4.  Until then, How Sweet the Sound still has more cities to hit up!  Find out if they are coming to your town HERE!  I was tweeting and instagraming through the show on my Verizon Galaxy S3!

This took me back to my high school days when I was in the teen choir at my church back home in the Chicago burbs!  Where you ever in a choir?

This gospel celebration came right on time for me.  I normally don't get too "deep" but I have been dealing with a evil person that was renting my old house!  I was tempted to take matters into my own hands and put my paws on her but I prayed and went the legal route and I won!  This was a much needed celebration for me.

Linking up with Monday Mingle with Bon Bon Rose Girls, Momtrends and Glamamom.

I am a Verizon Wireless Ambassador and they provided me with tickets to this event.  Opinions expressed are my own.
