Shea Moisture Cosmetics Swatches

The much anticipated Shea Moisture Cosmetics has arrived at select Target stores!  Unfortunately the Shea Moisture section at my Target looks like a tornado came through with only a few items left blowing in the wind.  Shea moisture had an awesome booth at the World Natural Hair Show this past weekend and I was able to check out all the cosmetics.

Shea Moisture Baby for Sensitive Skin

I've had several girlfriends share with me that their babies have sensitive skin and the struggles they have finding the right products for them.   I was fortunate that Peyton didn't have any sensitive skin issues but I still like to use the best products on her skin.  I've been using Shea Moisture Organic Baby products for well over a year.  Shea Moisture has expanded their baby line to include a new Ultra-sensitive, fragrance and gluten free baby healing lotion and mild wash.

I Cut {Trimmed} Peyton's Hair

When you know you are having a little girl, all you think about is the pretty dresses and cute bows they are going to wear.  I didn't think one second about what I would do with Peyton's hair!  Now she is here and her hair needs to be combed!  I think I have done a pretty decent job with her hair for someone who barely combs their own hair!  Peyton's hair can be a little challenging.  Curly, kinky and wavy all at the same d*** time!  Peyton's ends started to look shabby, I knew it was time for a trim.  I hit up my baby hair guru, Baby Big Hair for tips!  She sent me the link to her post about trimming her daughters hair HERE.

Shea Moisture Organic Baby Products Review

I think it is super important to know you have options for products for your baby.  I am pumped to tell you about the Shea Moisture Organic Baby care products.   I am sure most of you are familiar with Shea Moisture hair products that are pretty awesome (talking about it HERE).  I could only guess that the children's products would have to be on the same HIGH level.

Hair Products Peyton Hearts

Peyton has a lot of hair.  Her hair is a work in progress but I am asked all the time what I use in her hair.  Looks like other moms have the same issues.  The popular "Baby" shampoo's never worked for her.  When she was born there were no options like Cara B and Shea Moisture for babies.  I had to try other products more suitable for her hair.  I'm not ingredient obsessed but try to stick with products that are free of parabens, sulfate and harsh alcohols.  You should definitely use what works best for you.  Here is a little info about about the ingredients.

Parabens: Preservatives that can mimic estrogen.  Estrogen and babies doesn't sound like a good mix to me.
Sulfates:  Detergents that produce lather.  Can cause eye irritation, dry skin and tangled hair.  I will use a product with sulfate every once in a while for a deep cleaning. Not for weekly washes.
Harsh Alcohols: Evaporate quickly and will cause dry hair cuticles, therefore drying out the hair.

Here are some our favorite products that we use on the regular and why we heart them!  Of course not at the same time! LOL! Depends on the style.
