Spring Swapanista Runway Battle

Saturday afternoon I attended the Spring Swapanista Runway Battle hosted by Two Stylish Kays and Pretty Girls Rock Dresses at House of Adrene Boutique.  I attended the fall Swapanista and it was off the hook so I was looking forward to the Spring Battle!

My necklace was my outfit.  I got it at a local accessory shop here in Atlanta, it was less then $10!  The tank maxi dress is from Dots for $15. A co-worker had this dress on and told me how much it was so I ran to Dots. This is my first purchase from Dots and I did NOT have a good customer service experience but I guess for a $15 dress you shouldn't ask for much.

Any who...Back to the Swapanista Runway Battle and Swap Party.

On Saturday I attended the Swapanista Day Party and Fashion Show Battle hosted by Keren from Two Stylish Kays and DL Winfrey from Pretty Girls Rock Dresses.  These young ladies put together an amazing event held at the Hilton Perimeter.

I did not participate in the fashion show, yes I am chicken!   But I ran into my Fashionable Atlanta crew that were participating before the show.

Yes, these ladies came in like this, these outfits are not even for the show!  I would have been wearing a sweat suit!

My top is from Ross, $6 and skirt is from Forever21 $8.50!  Belt is from Express $30 but I had a $15 off coupon.
Oh yeah, here are my fabulous shoes!  From my shoe guy.  I got them before I got pregnant.

I dropped off my bag for the swap to the Swapping Suite then headed into the tent.  There were several great vendors a at this event so I was able to get my shop on!  I found some great products I can wait to share with you guys!

I stocked up on my Carson Bryce Trading soap.  Review coming soon!
I picked up some Honey Suckle Moon belly butter!
There was ton of fabulous jewelry!  I had to hold back.

There was about 15 other vendors at the event with fabulous items.

Now it's time for the show.  Each of the contestant were in a category of fall trends.  The trends they had to follow were Bright Pants, Polka Dots, Working Girl, High Slits, and Maxy Skirts. Here are some of the looks.

Kerrie wearing the bright pant trend.
Mattie rocking the long split dress trend.
Nikka from Oh! Nikka wearing the polka dot trend.
Katrice of My Vicarious Life strutting down the runway in the bright pant trend.

Breck is wearing the working girl look.
Aisha from Black Pearls is the 1st Place winner sporting the maxi skirt look.
Aisha walked away with the coveted clutch, full of gift cards to boutiques and Nordstroms, a Juicy Couture necklace, the clutch it self and more!

This was such a fun event!  Maybe I will get into the competition for the Winter show.  I will keep you guys posted!

Swap Meet!

Sorry for the delay on posting what I got at the Swapaholic event.

I was running my mouth so when the doors opened at the event, I ended up in the back of the line!  Once I entered the room I didn't know where to start... what am I supposed to do?  So I went to the spots that were not crowded.

I found these white pants.  Nothing special but it is summer and there are always all White Parties!

This shift dress!  This was my favorite find!  It looks so cute on!

These True Religion jeans with the tag on them!  I think they are mens jeans but who cares I grabbed them.  Mister can't fit them but I am sure I can find someone to give them to.

I don't know why I grabbed this top!  I am a sucker for anything sparkly!  This may get re-swapped!

This cute skirt!  It is actually was brought in by my girlfriend Natasha that went with me to the event.  She actually picked up a few items of mine as well!

I got one more dress for my niece that she loves!  I thnk she benefited more then I did from the event and she didn't go!

This event was fun and I would go again!  I was hoping some rich ladies would come in and drop off a bag of DVF dresses and old Gucci bags!  That didn't happen.  The rules were, if you girl friends would not wear, it don't bring it.  Some people did anyway! If I was their girlfriend and they offered me some of this stuff we would break up!  So that's the down side to swapping

Will you try swapping?

Oh, and feel free to vote!

Swapaholic!

Last Thursday my friend Natasha and I attend a clothing swap event, Sip and Swap hosted by the Swapaholics and sponsored by Black Swan Wine at the Atlanta Zoo.

This was my first time doing any sort of swap.  What you had to do was bring a bag of gently used clothing and you leave with a bag of clothing.  Cool huh?

Here are some pics from the event.

I am with Punky from The Swapaholics.  I am carrying my Navy Leather Jackie Gucci Bag.

I am wearing a LaRok, purchased a few years ago from a boutique in Atlanta.

Hors d'oeuvres and wine were served before the event started while they organized the clothing behind closed doors.

My shoes!  Another pair of cheapies!  $30!  Yep, from my shoe guy!  These ran out of gas pretty fast... : (

Make sure you check out Swap and the Swapaholics to find out if they will be hosting in your town!

I will post more details and my finds about the swap later.  Have you ever done a clothing Swap?
