Last week I was super pumped to attend the Luck Fabb conference in New York City will I was there with Tamara! Lucky Fabb is a conference for Fashion and Beauty Bloggers hosted by Lucky Magazine! They bring out the A-list designers and experts in the fashion industry.
Rachel Zoe was interviewed by Lucky Editor and Chief, Brandon Holley. My reason for purchasing a ticket is Rachel Zoe! I think she is amazing at what she does and she has the best personality. Listening to her talk was like watching the show. She spoke a lot about being an mother, wife and juggling the business. I have some great videos on her talking about motherhood and fashion that I will share soon. I love her even more after seeing her in person. Her best piece of advice was to be nice to people. Loves it!
This necklace though! Do you see this! This is from her new jewelry collection.
LC looked like a doll and perfectly put together! When she hit the stage she seemed VERY uncomfortable! So uncomfortable that I wanted to carry her off the stage to put her out of her misery! After she warmed up a bit during the Q + A, you can tell she is a very smart and hardworking lady. The shoes she is wearing are from her line at Kohl. Super cute!
Simon Doonan of Barneys interviewed Anna Sui. It was the most entertaining and inspiring interview ever! Anna Sui has been in the "Game" for years. She is one of the pioneers in fashion and one of the first designers to collab with Target. She told us her inspiration comes from travels and her "genius" files that she has collected over the years.
Brandon Holley with CEO of Macy's, Terry Lundgren. He talked about how they love social media and how it is changing the way we shop. He said Macy's is moving towards more regional stores because someone in LA may not like the same thing in a Chicago Macy's.
Panel: Amplify Your Brand, Using Social Media to Gain Recognition. Susan Lyne, Chairman of Gilt Groupe, Aliza Licht of DKNY, Erica Domesek of PS-I Made This' and FEED's Lauren Bush. They talked about engaging and networking via social media.
Panel: The Next Wave, Fashion and Technology together. CFDA's Steven Kolb, Yoox CEO Federico Marchetti, Creative Artist Agency's Mitch Grossbach, and High Line Venture Partners' Shana Fisher. They talked about Social Shopping, Affiliate programs, apps and what's next.
I like this conference because it was dedicated to fashion. Hearing from the industry leaders got me to thinking what I am doing on this blog and where I would like it to go. If you ever go to Lucky Fabb or IFB make sure you bring your Fashion A Game! These ladies were decked out! I mean, I wanted to shop of the backs of these ladies! There was always a roar of "OMG, love your shoes", "Cute Pants", "Is that Prada", "I would die for that jacket".
More to come from Rachel Zoe and the SWAG (bananas!). Have you been to a Luck Fabb conference? Thinking about going in the future?
What an awesome aweseome experience!! Glad you enjoyed it!
