Kim Kardashian's "Not So" Maternity Style

Last night on Bag Ladies Radio show not only did we discuss kids style but we weighed in on Kim K's maternity fashions!  Poor girl is getting ripped apart by the media and social media.  I think everyone was excited to see what she would be wearing to cover her bump and this is what she comes up with!  I feel bad for her but have you seen what she has been wearing while rocking the bump?

Yes Kim K is now a mommy blogger!  Her first post was about how she love J Brand maternity jeans.  I know she is super excited about becoming a mommy.  I have to admit, I think I am going to like it!  I am looking forward to see what else she will share on her blog.  What do you think about this new Mommy Blogger?  Will you be reading her blog?

Bump Watch: Kimye

Just when you thought 2012 was over we got hit upside the head with this mah-jor announcement that Kim Kardashian is expecting a child with Kanye West....Baby Kimye!

Congrats to the couple!  Kim has always spoke of having a child.  A child is a miracle and a blessing!

Now this may get a little messy but... it's Kim K!  The Kardashian clan is a family you hate to love or love to hate.  I think they are all beautiful and love that they are a close family.  I would at least like for her divorce to final to Chris before having a baby by Kanye.  I also did not like how Kanye announced it to the crowd at a concert on Sunday night "Can we make some noise for my baby mama right quick?"  Well I guess she is his Baby Mama....I digress.

I can't wait to see her maternity style!  I am sure she will be getting some tips from her big sis Kourtney!  What do you think about all the Kimye madness?  Are you excited?  Will you be following?  Or are you over it already?

Topshop is Trying to Get Me Pregnant!

I was in Nordstrom's on Saturday and they had the Topshop line in the store!  I have never ordered from Topshop but they always have the hottest clothes.  The store was about to close so I didn't have much time to go HAM!  So I went online to get my fix and guess what I found?  They have maternity clothes!

Beyonce Baby Bump Style

Beyonce is looking fab in the home stretch of her pregnancy.  I don't know how she does it!  I was somewhere laying on the couch after 7 months!  Word on the internet streets is that she is due around Christmas time.

Breastfeeding and Backless Dresses?

I breastfeed,  actually, exclusively pumped for 6 months!  All the breastfeeding Mamas' know that breastfeeding takes a toll on the ladies.  I was a strong D before I was preg, now they are so deflated they look like a flat A cup!  I used to be able to rock backless dresses with out a bra if I had too with no prob.  NOW?  I would not dare go anywhere with out a bra!  Let alone out in a nice dress with no support!

For the Rock the Red Pump event, I wanted to wear my Trina Turk dress.  The dress is very conservative in the front and sexy in the back! I tried my hardest to figure out how to wear a bra with this dress, it keep poking out and I would have to continue to fuss with it all night to make sure nothing was showing.  I finally gave up and headed to Target and found this...

A backless Strapless bra from Lingerie Solutions. It was $18.99 at Target.  To my surprise, it did not move the whole night!  It is held on with this super sticky tape like tab.  I probably should have pulled it up higher : ).  This bra is supposed to be reusable up to 10 times.  It felt great to not have to worry about my girls all  night!

So ladies, don't be scared of backless and halter dress!  You can do it!

Mamanista Maternity Must Haves

When your preggers you don't want to sacrife style just because you need to save for a crib and a stroller.  If you can believe it, I did not go over board shopping for maternity clothes.  Everytime I went to purchase something and kept thinking " I can get something that my baby needs instead".  Here are a few things that I think are must haves when preggers.

Cute flat comfy shoes

Tory Burch flats $195.  I know thats not cheap but you will have them forever and they are really comfortable. You can wear them pretty much all year.

Uggs, $140 are a life saver.  I wore mine all the way till March while preg.  They kept my swollen feet warm and toasty!

Black leggings!  You need to get one for every day of the week!  Any shirt that I had that covered my but, I wore with leggings. I luv the full panel ones.

Soft, long T-shirt.  This shirt is from the Gap, $24.50.  I was one of those preg women that thought I could still sport my old t shirts and ended up looking like a half top.

A few cardigan or shrugs!  Depending on the season select your material.  You do not have to buy maternity cardigans (which tend to be overpriced) and you can wear them long after baby drops.

This wool blend open front cardigan is $30 from Forever 21.

This one is light weight Old Navy maternity shrug for $34.50.

Do your best to find a good pair of comfy jeans.  I was lucky enough  find some at Motherhood for about $20.

Every future mama need a maxi dress! 

I like to call this dress my "Uniform".  This was my go to outfit on the weekend.  I wish I could have worn a dress like this every day to work.

The last thing you should have is a cute scarf.  My chest broke out and my neck turned a different color.  So I had to do my best to cover it up.

These are some basics, but you can jazz them up with some big earrings or long necklace.
