Our holiday festivities are in full swing at the Baby Shopaholic house hold. Peyton had her school holiday program on Tues. You can see how totes adorbs she look HERE. She also has a classroom party this week. You don't want to be that mom that doesn't get the teachers a gift. She has three teachers that she needs presents for and that can get pretty pricey. Piggy backing off of what I did last year, I put together these super cheap and easy Gift in a Jar. I saw something like this on Pinterest last year and decided to go for it.

Donut Bun Tutorial for Little Girls + Moms
You'll never understand the trials and tribulations of doing someone else's hair until you have a daughter. By the fussing, whines and cries, you would think that you were trying to pull out teeth. I don't know how hairdressers do it! I'm blessed that Peyton will sit and take hair combing like a champ. It may hurt me more than it hurts her because of the fact if I don't do it, she would be looking a mess. In case of an emergency, Mister is decent with her hair. He is notorious for his two puff style. It look a'ight. Besides two puffs or twists, I keep trying to find fresh styles that are easy to do on Peyton's hair. Her current favorite hair style is the donut bun aka ballerina bun. You only need just enough hair to cover the donut to make this happen.

Happy Birthday Peyton!
I officially have a big girl on my hand. My sweet baby doll, Peyton is 4 years old today *sheds one thug tear*. If you want time to fly, have a baby! Feels like I just brought her home from the hospital.

DIY Boyfriend (Distressed) Jeans for Kids
I shared with you guys on Monday how difficult it was to find reasonably priced boyfriend jeans for little girls. I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own.

Baby Boyfriend Jeans
I hope you guys had a great weekend! Ours was great! Following our crazy week, we got to chill and spend some quality family time. I have been on the hunt since early spring to find some boyfriend jeans for Peyton. The ones I found were crazy expensive. So I decided to get my DIY on and make her some boyfriend jeans.

Weekend Style: Jason Wu
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was a little less than horrible! I hate to say that because things could always be worse but it wasn't too enjoyable! My mom had a falling incident in the middle of the night, followed by an ER visit to make sure nothing was broken. Poor Peyton had a fever on and off and kept throwing up on my free time in the middle of the night! Oh... and I was on call for work and the poop hit the fan! But don't cry for me Argentina. I made it to Tuesday and praise God everyone is doing well now!
On the bright side, we attended a graduation (Yay Sherica!) and my oldest sister was in town for the weekend. The graduation was when Peyton started to get ill. You can tell my baby doll wasn't feeling well in these pictures but she was a soldier trying to get her pose on!

Easter Style in Marchesa
Happy Eastertine! (per Peyton). She kept asking if it was Valentine's Day and I told her it was Easter. So she keep saying "Happy Eastertine!" So cute! We did manage to make it to church on Sunday! Peyton got a little restless at the end of service so I took her outside to do a mini photo shoot! I was so excited that Peyton was able to wear her beautiful Marchesa dress from the Neiman/Target collaboration!

DIY: Bling Chucks Taylor's
Thank you guys for all the Birthday wishes for Peyton!
You guys saw Peyton's Berry Sweet Birthday outfit with the wonderful skirt from Giavanna's Closet and her blinged out Chuck Taylors! I think every little girl should have a pair of blinged out shoes! When I decided that I wanted her to have some chucks I checked out Etsy to find a seller only to find out they cost about $80-$100. No Ma'am! So the jewelry maker in me set out to make my own. Pretty easy but just takes time.

Birthday DIYs
First order of business... One of the Best Sales of the Year start today. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This is the sale where they bring out new fall merchandise at 20% to 50% off!
Since I started blogging I have found so much information and inspiration! I am in no way a party planner, I just thought I would pass on some info that helped me in planning Peyton's party.
Pinterest is a great place to start for ideas but Pin just doesn't work for me : ( Boy could I have used that. About three months before Peyton's birthday I started looking for kid party blogs. There are many but I got most of my inspiration from Kara's Party Idea's. I you are planning any party, young or old, showers check out this site. The Party Dress is also a good one, a lot of adult parties and shower inspiration here.
First I looked for the invitations. I took to the usual, Shutterfly, Tiny Prints and Etsy. The invitation that I really like was about $2 each. I think that is a lot per invitations, especially when you need like 40. So I went on Etsy and found out that people are willing to customize the invitation. I went with Sprinkled with Sugar to make the invitations. I paid $8 and she sent me a digital image. I uploaded the image to Walmart.com as a 4x6 print. I paid 9 cents a print. That's less then $4 for 40 invitations. I had them printed at the closet store and picked them up. I purchased a box of envelopes for $4. So for $16 I got 40 invitations in no time flat!
I made these tissue Pom Poms. I saw these everywhere! I had no clue they were so easy to make.
I used this tutorial from Style Berry to make them. Super easy!
I also made this banner.
I found a quick tutorial here. I modified some things. I printed the letters in color on card stock paper and cut them out instead of buying letters to trace.
I alternated patterns for the background.
I wanted cupcake toppers. I searched Etsy but I thought paying $2 per topper was crazy. That's more then the cupcake it's self. I figured I could make those as well.
Googled outlines of butterflies and got a ton of pictures to chose from. I printed them out and cut out the shapes and used those to trace on the scrapbook paper.
I bought the lollipop sticks from Walmart for like $2. I used tacky glue to glue the stick between the butterflies.
I hope you guys can find this helpful. As you can see they were all pretty easy. What are some things you guys are making these days?

11 Months!
OMG! Last month before a year! Time flies!
That's my big girl! She is still off the charts for her height over 30 inches! The last picture I tried to get her to show her top two teeth! She is walking full time and I am getting a workout! She started taking steps at 9 months and she has been walking full time for about 3 weeks!
Party plan is coming along. I have made the cupcake toppers and halfway done with the banner. I am pretty pleased with my skills! I am going to try and make these...
Tissue Paper Pom Poms! They looked pretty simple...
I am having trouble coming up with a menu but I still have time. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
