Peyton is still going on and on about her trip!  She is telling everyone about the dolphins, the turtles, the hotel and the beach! I can't wait to take her on another vacation! Here is my baby at the beach!

Peyton and I kicked off the weekend chilling poolside Saturday Morning.

Cool Kids: I Heart My...

I am so excited to have Betsy from CoolKids sharing what she hearts!!!  If you have a kid or know a kid, you need to read her blog DAILY!  She keeps updated to what is New and Cool for the little ones and has some of the best giveaways, too bad I never win : (

Hi! I am Betsy from CoolKids! I was super excited that Trina asked me to come over to her blog and share what I heart! I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband and two crazy kids! We are all excited that it is FINALLY feeling like summer!

I heart the classic LL Bean tote with zip top! During the summer we try to get out & enjoy the warm weather as much as possible. That means hitting the beach, spray parks and taking a few boat rides! The classic LL Bean tote has been a favorite of mine for YEARS!

I heart wine! I have spent the summers going up to Northern Michigan every year. One of our favorite things to do is to hit the wineries! I love bringing home a case or two of wine to enjoy throughout the year. I heart Trillium wine not just because it has a pretty label but it is also a perfect white wine for the summertime!

I heart Pottery Barn Kids Beach Towels! I have two young kids and I realized quickly that the best way to make sure they won't fight over which towel they get to use, is to get them their own super cool monogrammed towel!

I heart a good summer salad! We love to grill as much as we can in once the weather is decent in Chicago! I love a mozzerella, tomato and avacado salad! It is like a taste of summer in a bowl & it is super easy to make after a long day at work!

I heart Reef Sandals! Everyone has their favorite go to sandal brand and mine has been Reef for about 10 years! Every summer I have to get a new pair!

Peyton Weekend Pool Style

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Peyton had a play date with my BFF's two year old little girl Lexi!  Lexi's Mom and I have been friends since High School back in Chicago!  Since we are both so busy with being mom's and life, we don't get together much outside of family parties and birthdays.  We finally got together to took the girls to the pool on Saturday.

Peyton's bikini was $6 from Old Navy.  Sandals from Payless.

These two divas had a ball!  We had lunch drinks  by the pool.  The girls did not want to leave!  Can't wait till the next one!

A Beautiful Life: I Heart My...

Hi everyone, it is Jill from A Beautiful Life. Today I have the pleasure of guest posting for the beautiful and stylish Trina in her "I heart my" series. Since school is out and it is almost officially summer, I thought I would put a summer twist on this post. Here is what I heart...

I HEART My...

1. Summers... Once summer rolls around, things quiet down around our house. No school, homework, sports, dance, meetings, na-da! I spend most of my time poolside.

I am fortunate enough to be able to spend July in Michigan on the Lake.  My in-laws live in Michigan half the year, which works out perfectly for me.  Right about the time it is miserably hot in St. Louis I head north to Holland and just relax and do nothing but play on the beach with my kids.

With summer comes the summer cocktails...



Grilling the best turkey burgers I have ever had in my entire life...

And my daily caprese salads.

2. Summer Hair.


I have long hair and I rarely have it down from May through October, it is just way too hot. This is when I have what I call "summer hair." Summer hair is just when I put my hair up in some type of bun or up do. I am always coming up with different styles to keep my hair up and off my neck and back. I love to add a braid or a twist to my summer hair. There is just something about having dinner outside on a warm summer night with my hair up in a messy bun...love it...

3. Eva Gordon Plates


I do not own her plates (yet) but I think these are the most exquisite plates I have ever laid eyes on
 

Her attention to detail is amazing, these plates are so unique and definitely a show stopper. These would look amazing hanging on my kitchen wall. These plates just make me think of summer.

They are hard to find and will empty your wallet, but just think of the beautiful work of art you will own.

Saturday morning we started at the pool.

Peyton is sporting a Baby Gap floral bikini that was $13.

After having a ball in the pool she lounged in this Gap cover up that we got at a consignment store for $2. 

Sunday we headed down to the Atlanta Jazz Fest to meet up with Mimi from Lipgloss and Binky.

She is rocking a Maxi dress from H&M that was $5!!!  Shoes are from Payless.  Too bad she lost one at the fest.

Maxi dresses are still going strong this summer! Better get you one!

Swimwear Score and other Finds!

I got up super early on Saturday because Old Navy was having 60% off all swimwear!  It was only from 7-11am!  My crazy butt was there at 7:05!  Here is what I got for Peyton.

Each suit was $4.80!  Can't beat that!  I also grabbed me two suits, a one piece and a bikini!!!  The were about $12 each.  I am still on the fence about them.  They can be used as a back up, so I am still in search for a good Mama suit!

We also found some other great deals last week that I didn't tell you about.

Got these Koala Kids shorts at Babies R Us, they were $6 org. $8!

Got this cute double breasted sweater jacket at the Seed Factory in Atlanta (love this place).  It is Zutano and got it for $15, normally about $50.

Baby Gap Come Up and Posh Feature

On Sunday P and I took a quick trip to the mall and decided to check out Baby Gap.  To my surprise they had an extra 30% off of everything in the store!  Including clearance!  Check out what we got...

Last but not least...

Peyton's first bikini!  She had to do a dry run in it to make sure it fit.  Org. $25, got it for $12!

Money Aint a Thang! Swimwear

Its March and almost time to hit the beach!  I would love for Peyton to shut it down at the pool in this...

Cute huh!  This little number is from Dior and is $190!  Cute but I don't think so.  I will be hitting up Target or Baby Gap for a cute swim suit. Mama needs a new swimsuit for the new Mama body! There is a 5% chance that I may try to rock a bikini this summer : )  Just the thought gets me excited!
