I hit up the dollar store first and picked up the mugs, candy canes, shred and chocolate candy. I spent about $6. I picked up the 6 packs hot cocoa at the grocery store. They are sold individually for about $0.65 each. I put three in each mug, but two would be fine. If you have a lot of mugs to make you can also buy a box of hot chocolate mix packets. Individual wrapped teas would be a nice touch.
I put a little of the shred at the bottom of the mug and tried to place the 3 packets of cocoa mix in the mug as nice as possible. Then I put in the chocolate and candy canes. I topped it off with a gift card to Starbucks.

Very cute idea! I remember doing something similar when I was in school. :-) I really like getting items and making gift bags from Dollar Tree, especially from the beauty items.
