Diet Diaries: 7 Day Low Carb Challenge
I know it's been a while since I've posted about my diet diaries but this is an EMERGENCY update. I'm happy to report that I'm still working out at least 3 days a week. My eating has been so-so. I do good on Monday and Tuesday and crash and burn the rest of the week. I was talking with a friend at work on Friday and we decided we would eat right for 7 days straight with no cheating. We are going to ditch the bread, starch, sugar, candy, even wine! I don't know if I'm going to submit to the wine part just yet. That will be a long 7 days! I posted on Instagram that I was doing this and a lot of you were down for the challenge as well so I knew I had to post something ASAP!
My plain is to eliminate breads and eat lean meats, fruit, vegetables and a little jello. I may eat a little brown rice here and there, but I'm trying to kick that out for the 7 days as well. Picture is what I have prepared for Monday. It looks like a lot of food, but after doing boot camp at 5:30 in the morning, my belly is on TEN! I will try to share my meals throughout the week on Instagram and Facebook. Remember, food prep is KEY (check out this post)! You can find my egg muffin recipe HERE and follow my Diet Diaries Pinterest board for the turkey meatloaf balls HERE.

I'm excited and ready to take on these next 7 days...I'm already doing a 90 day challenge to lose 20 lbs. previously I lost 52 lbs and I know that having accountability partners is key to accomplishing a weight loss/gain goal.
ReplyDeleteIm with you girl! GO FOR IT!! I started the morning off with egg whites, sausage and a yogurt parfait with blueberries. LET"S GO!!
ReplyDeleteGo Trina! On my last physical, I was pre - diabetes. After working with a nutritionist, we've made some tremendous progress. Not totally eliminating carbs for me, but just finding the best source of carbs...Also making sure I eat every 3 hours and do a proper macro distribution. I've lost 12 lbs since.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Trina! After doing serious morning workout I am always starving too! My sister and I talked about your challenge last night. We eat brown rice at least 3 times a week. Heck sometimes 5. Guess we need to figure it out!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome I really need to get on board. I have started to workout so I'm slowly getting it together.
ReplyDeleteI think that is awesome that you are challenging yourself. However, you know I dont believe in diets because in my opinion, they don't work. I believe in lifestyle changes. Once you make lifestyle changes, you will be healthier and loose weight. I don't know about no carbs, but I will try some healthier choices this week for you challenge!
