Remember, I told y'all I am not a decorator! And I had a trillion and a half things going on this same weekend :) . Now that I got that out of the way check out what I did!
Peyton's room still looked like a nursery with a zillion toys! I wanted her to have a fun room that went with her personality.
We choose to do an accent wall using Princess Glitz color in the Magnificent Metallic finish. Looks like we painted the wall with nail polish! Fabulous!
We didn't go princess crazy! I picked up a few little accents to give the room a princess feel. I did not get her big girl bed in time because of my crazy schedule. She also needs curtains and a new rug. Even without the bed I think the accent wall with the Disney Paint gave her room a much needed POP!
Peyton was an awesome host! She greeted all her guest and asked the if they wanted to see her room! The kids had a blast tearing up playing in her room! The reading area and her little desk was a big hit with the kids! The girls loved the pink wall! You can see our attempt at getting a group picture with her friends. During the party the kids were able to decorate there own crowns. The girls had little tiaras to wear during the party. A few of the boys were mad because they didn't have anything to wear : (. The kids enjoyed snacks from Walmart and pizza during the party.
Peyton's room was a hit with all the moms! They said they are motivated to transition their child's room! They were excited to learn about the Disney Paint Glidden collection! None of them had heard about it. Big winner of the Walmart gift card was my girl Natasha (bottom left pic).
Peyton loves her room and new wall! Her favorite part is the desk area. She treats it like a little office and makes me sit on the other side while she colors. I would like to try the chalk board paint on a future project. Just trying to come up with some ideas.
What do you think of Peyton's new room? Would you try the Disney Paint by Glidden in your child's room?
I love Peyton's newly decorated room. The kids are so adorable. Only thing... what happened to my hand written invitation?
ReplyDeleteUmm... She said she needs time to think about it! LOL! It's coming! She will expect a letter back from Abudaubi (sp) : )
