For the last few months I have been saying I need to transform Peyton's room to a big girl room. I want her room to be a place she wants to hang out in besides my room. Just in time, Disney has partnered with Glidden Paint to help us create fabulous spaces for our kids. Conveniently, the Disney Glidden paint is sold exclusively at Walmart! Peyton and I headed to Walmart to pick out some paints!
My Walmart's paint section was pretty awesome! Never paid to much attention before but it looks like your typical home improvement store paint section. As you can see there are plenty of colors to choose from. All the colors are fun and kid friendly. I had a hard time picking out paint colors before Peyton was born because you had to go through all the "regular" paints to find the perfect color. Disney paints offer the perfect pinks, purples and blues you are looking for!
Peyton was very opinionated on what she wanted in her room. She absolutely had to have "Princess" Paint!
Besides the great colors, Disney Glidden paints have low odor and no VOCs. Disney paints offer five specialty finishes!
o All That Glitters: A clear, ready-to-use top coat that provides a shimmering glitter finish that
can be applied over any painted surface.
o Speck-Tacular: A clear, ready-to-use topcoat that provides a sparkling confetti finish that
can be applied over any painted surface.
o Magnificent Metallic: A metallic paint, tintable to 24 unique colors.
o Great Slate: A paint that turns any surface into a chalkboard. Available in ready-to-use black
or tintable to a variety of colors.
o Ready, Set, Glow!: A translucent yellow, ready-to-use paint that allows any surface to glow
in the dark.
The Disney paint section also had pamphlets available to offer up color schemes, designs and decorating tips.
I am not a decorator! I rather spend money on clothes and shoes but Peyton needs a room upgrade! I will be posting our room decorating progress and reveal! In the meantime you can check out the Disney paint site to see colors, get ideas and play around with the interactive room. Have you ever purchased paint from Walmart? Have you noticed the Disney paint at Walmart?
Great post, decorating her room is going to be so much fun. I have used Glidden paint for kids rooms previously when I was doing Interior Decorating but I tend to lean towards Behr.
