Green Shopping and Winners of the Hat's Off!

Here is what you all have been waiting a week for!  The winners of the Floppy Hats!!! Here they are!

Single Mothers Journey
Natalie - Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers
Jill - Glamamom

Congrats Ladies!  Please email me with your mailing address.

So I got my "Green" shopping on this past weekend!

Inspired by all my new found thrifting bloggy friends, P and I got up and headed to Goodwill.  I was told thrifting was a good place to find this season hot bow blouse tops, cute blazers and skirts.  I was only interested in the blouse.  So I went straight to the tops.  Within 2 mins I found this bad boy!

SCORE!  I could not believe it!  Now it has a few stains but I scrubbed it up pretty good.  But if you see any stains while I am wearing it just act like you didn't.

Then at the Swapanista event on the same day, this was is the swapping suite!  2 in one day!  Holla!  Because of the pattern it's hard to see the bow but you can kind of see it below.

I picked up this incredible vintage sequin top at the Swapanista event also.  I love sequins!  So I had to have this.  Just think, with some skinny black pants or dark jeans and some BAD shoes!  What!

What they say is true, what goes around comes back around!  I am looking forward to my future thrifting adventures.  I have not had any luck finding items for Peyton.  Where do you go for "Green" shopping or to find the best thrifting items?  Goodwill?  Salvation Army?

Boy did you guys go IN on this subject.  I loved it!  See original post HERE.

Here are the results of the Poll:
  • 52% said they would NEVER wear a knock off
  • 25% said they would wear one because it's crazy to spend that kind of money
  • 23% said they would wear a knock off depending on where they are going or how good it looks
It's almost split!  So I say "Do You Boo!"

Hope you guys like this poll, I plan on coming up with more fun ones!

On Saturday I attended the Swapanista Day Party and Fashion Show Battle hosted by Keren from Two Stylish Kays and DL Winfrey from Pretty Girls Rock Dresses.  These young ladies put together an amazing event held at the Hilton Perimeter.

I did not participate in the fashion show, yes I am chicken!   But I ran into my Fashionable Atlanta crew that were participating before the show.

I am with Corie from It's My Taste

Mattie of Mattieology

Alaina from Bustin’ Out the Seams and I

Kerri from Virtuous Styls

Host Keren, Breck, Eboni, and I

Yes, these ladies came in like this, these outfits are not even for the show!  I would have been wearing a sweat suit!

My top is from Ross, $6 and skirt is from Forever21 $8.50!  Belt is from Express $30 but I had a $15 off coupon.
Oh yeah, here are my fabulous shoes!  From my shoe guy.  I got them before I got pregnant.

I dropped off my bag for the swap to the Swapping Suite then headed into the tent.  There were several great vendors a at this event so I was able to get my shop on!  I found some great products I can wait to share with you guys!

I stocked up on my Carson Bryce Trading soap.  Review coming soon!
I picked up some Honey Suckle Moon belly butter!
There was ton of fabulous jewelry!  I had to hold back.

There was about 15 other vendors at the event with fabulous items.

Now it's time for the show.  Each of the contestant were in a category of fall trends.  The trends they had to follow were Bright Pants, Polka Dots, Working Girl, High Slits, and Maxy Skirts. Here are some of the looks.

Kerrie wearing the bright pant trend.
Mattie rocking the long split dress trend.
Nikka from Oh! Nikka wearing the polka dot trend.
Katrice of My Vicarious Life strutting down the runway in the bright pant trend.

Breck is wearing the working girl look.
Aisha from Black Pearls is the 1st Place winner sporting the maxi skirt look.
Aisha walked away with the coveted clutch, full of gift cards to boutiques and Nordstroms, a Juicy Couture necklace, the clutch it self and more!

This was such a fun event!  Maybe I will get into the competition for the Winter show.  I will keep you guys posted!

Monday Mingle!

Actually this outfit is from yesterday.  I attended a blogger Autum Beauty Brunch hosted by makeup artist Mimi J.  I planned on having the post ready but Peyton didn't want to cooperate so now I am extra tired.

I am linking up with Glamamom, Mom Trends and Bon Bon Rose Girls for Monday Mingle!

Let me put a disclaimer on this outfit.  I like to believe it was cuter in person. The sweater looks more like a potatoe sack in these pictures but I guess pictures don't lie!  But I still like it.  I will be wearing this alot this fall.

Fair Isle sweater is from Forever 21, $24. Skinny jeans are old and don't even know the name but I know they were cheap!  Boots are from Bebe (OLD).   You can enter to win a camel color version of this hat HERE!  I am giving away three!  Ends Wednesday.

Weekend Style: October is here!

Happy October Everybody!

Busy October already!  I went to two events this weekend but Peyton and I did manage to get out and do some "Green" Shopping this weekend.  More on that coming soon!

Fall is here and it finally cooled off in the A this weekend!  So Peyton had to break out the Ugg boots!

Peyton is wearing skinny jeans from Old Navy, $10.  Long sleeve bodysuit $5 and moto jean jacket $10 both from Baby Gap.  Belt is from Walmart, 2 for $6.  Ugg boots were a birthday gift from my sister.

I need a light colored moto jacket for the fall.  I think it adds an edgy look to any outfit.  What types of jackets do you wear in the fall?

Beyonce Pulse Baby Bump Style

Last week, the HOT Mama to be was out and about promoting her new fragrance Pulse.  I actually got sprayed with it by the perfume lady at Macy's and it wasn't to bad.

Here is what she was rocking to the events.

She said now that she is preggers, she can not stand the smell of Jay Z cologne.  I wonder how she feels about her perfume : )
