Mama Back to Work Wardrobe

After being home for 3 months and wearing nursing tanks and yoga pants everyday, it's hard to get back out into the Real World!  Lucky for me I can wear jeans to work everyday!

One of my besties Neb from Practical Mom, is heading back to the office after having her cute little big man.  She hired asked me to be her stylist for back to work clothing.  Here are some looks that I put together for her.  All the items are under $100 and interchangeable.  Neb is on the conservative side but still likes something a little special.

Forget the typical suit. These pieces hot!  Wear the blazer with a T-shirt and jeans on the weekends.

This dress can be worn all year.  Add a coloured cardigan for the fall.

You know I love me some bow blouses!  These tend to be pretty thin, so add a cardigan for the office.

Need to go conservative?  Got a big meeting?  This is the outfit!  Add a fly shoe to complete the look.

Cardigans are you best friend when you are a mom!  Neb can put these tops on with jeans and knee boots to head out for a little girls time!

What were some of your back to work must haves?  Neb just started her blog Practical Mom, please head over and show some love!

Knock Off's: Highest Form of Flattery

This is a touchy subject for me.  How do you feel about Knock Off bags? or anything fake for that matter?

I read this article on Slate a while back.  It talks about if fake bags help or hurt the brand names?

If it looks good would you buy it?  Would you wear it?

Cheap Purses

I am a handbag connoisseur so I zoom into bags like a radar.  I can spot a real from a fake fairly quickly and easily.  But does it really matter? Is this really a big deal?  Do you think different about that person?  Is the person with the FAKE really smart?

I want to know where you guys stand on this issue so please take the poll below.  This is so you can remain anonymous : ) But feel free to leave comments if your bold!

Feathering Our Nest Review

Eversave Giveaway ends tonight!  Enter HERE for a chance to win $20 worth of Eversave services!

Corner Stork Baby Gifts is your one stop shop for all things baby.  Baby gifts, keepsakes and shower favors.

Corner Stork recently sent me their new Feathering Our Nest basket for review.

Awww!
Here are the details of what is in included in the gift set:

•Four-piece layette gift set includes bodysuit, cable-knit cap, knit booties and cable-knit lovie

•White, long-sleeve bodysuit with charming knit bird applique

•Cap, booties and lovie are beige, with brownish gray pom-poms on the booties

•Layette set is crafted from washable (cold) cotton knit and interlock cotton

•Knit lovie measures approximately 17" square

•Lovie can be personalized with baby's name for an additional charge

•Enchanting gift presentation includes layette set resting in a rich-brown, woven-rattan "nest" tied with a wide cream-colored, satin ribbon and bow, and a color-coordinated To/From tag

•Size 0-6 months

The presentation of this item is adorable!  This is what it looks like after shipping.  More stylish then your typical box layette set.  The items are neatly arranged in a cute little basket.  Looks as though you put it together yourself.

Love the knit hat.  I could not stand all the cotton, wrinkled newborn hats when Peyton was a newborn.  I would have probably just added a bow on this one for Peyton.
The items appear to be great quality cotton (I did not wash them).  The knit lovie is my favorite.  Nothing better then have a cute blankie for a new born.  Especially for visiting friends and family and everyone wanting to hold the precious baby.

The Feathering Our Nest basket is Baby Shopaholic approved!  I would have loved to have received this for Peyton.  I received many layette sets but nothing of this quality (except for some Saks 5th Ave night gowns) and with such a fabulous presentation.  Although I like to give a gift card or an item on the registry, this would be a great additional gift that will get "Awwww!" at the shower.  Bonus is that it is unisex!

What do you like to give at baby showers?  For friend or work showers?

Make sure you check out Corner Stork Baby Gifts!

Zara Online!

Don't have a Zara near you?  You do now!  They just launched the online store for the US!  I have Zara store in Atlanta but they do not sell children clothing.  I would look online but I could not get it until now.

Here are some items that I would love for Peyton.

Aren't these boot sick!  Peyton would SHUT IT DOWN with these on!  But they are $50... Mister would not be happy if I got those.  I almost hit check out with them in the cart!

Once they were online I could see the prices.  For children clothing they are pretty expensive.  Tops for $20 to $30!  Now Zara does a good job of getting you in the state of mind to think that $20 isn't too bad for a t-shirt.  I had a ton of stuff in my cart until I realized, $50 for boots, $40 for a dress.  So I only ordered two items.

Peyton is the proud owner of this top.  It was $20 but I love it!

I also ordered this dress but when I got it I wasn't too excited about it.  Old Navy has dresses that look like this for about $10.  I ended up returning it.

This is what I am loving for myself from Zara.

Some one has a birthday coming up *cough, cough* I am thinking one of these for a party dress!  I would need to go to a Zara store to try them on.  I had a bad experience trying on a Zara dress.  I got stuck in a dress in the fitting room and they (2 Zara assoc.) had to pull me out!  Me with them in a fitting room with a dress stuck over my head, panties and all showing...#truestory.

That was a bad flashback!  Have you ordered online?  What do you think of the children's clothing?
